2.3 Oil Pressure Switch
mumof4 replied to chazhead's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Ooops..been having probs with this ere forum where it takes an age to load for me....i deleted one of the duplicate posts. If its like the 1.9, then its just a case of removeing the old one and putting the new one in...mine was a bugger to do and it took the mechanic about 5/10 mins to swap em over as i couldnt get the old one out..bless him...never charged me a penny either. -

Now ive never towed anything in all the time ive been driving, but i have driven the Galaxy in high winds in Scotland where there was no shelter from the wind and the effect on the gal was in my mind frightening....the car was being buffeted from all directions , Now..the way i understand it,when towing something higher bodied than the car you are driving, isnt that going to create drag?as surely the wind will go around the car and smack the caravan at its highest points?..(think thats what Bleeno meant anyway) Soo....the way i see it..the faster you are travelling the more drag created by the van also there is wind pressure yes?..and say you go from a road that is sheltered in someway say by trees either side to an open road.....is there then more drag and pressure against the van say coming from all angles which may create a snaking effect?i say this because not all roads are straight and wind does not always travel in one direction does it?..soooo....say you go from a straight road to go round a corner at speed, wont that effect everything? Ive seen snaking happen numerous times on different roads, seen the consequences also.. can snaking be put down to any one thing or can it be a combination of things like load distribution / driver experience /speed and the wind?? Its early and if im talking bollox then ignore me. <_<

Letter To Ford Uk Md - Read Before You Buy New Galaxy
mumof4 replied to hp4020's topic in MKIII Technical section
Very true ,,, Ford may produce some good looking cars, unfortunately, they dont seem to know how to fix them. They have crap customer service and i think its about time they were held accountable for all the unhappy customers that buy their cars and go to them for help when things go wrong. specially when you have a car in a ford garage and they just replace part after part after part trying to figure out what is wrong which can cost hundreds if not more to the owner of the vehicle if the warranty has run out/does not cover the problem. Most of us have experienced the inadequacies of a Ford garage/their customer service and general fobbing off. WE ourselves on here have identified common faults on the Galaxy, but do Ford aknowledge them as common faults?we are the ones who bear the brunt of these common faults cost wise. Most of us have an MPV because of family reasons, owning a Galaxy should be a joy and it can be..but when a new owner buys one and is confronted with a huge pile of crap in the way of faults...then comes to us......says a lot for the monkey outfit called ford doesnt it. Their mission statement is wrong..so very wrong. -

Bloody hell. Lost for words here. I think most of us here could dispute Fords mission statement as it is totally misleading. They care not one whit about their customers. -
WElcome busman. For one caps is considered shouting and can make it hard to read. When you put the key in, does the Led on the door flash?if so, does it flash in a pattern.I.E..how many flashes?quick,slow?..Can you hear any clicking coming from the fuse box/relays?
-
Oh my word..that is classic!!lol.

Sooo...you were fiddling around with the seat, then after that the airbag light came on. Are you sure you have put everything back the way it should be?wires etc...did any wires split/break?.. You could try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins as i believe that is how long it takes to reset everything. Gonna sound daft i know, but retrace your steps, Its what i would do.
