Welcome wibble, i am assumeing you are on about the MKIII...if so i will move this to the MKIII section.There is there a post which if you follow the link will give you the specs for 15 different MKIII models As for a rapid upgrade, you can do that yourself by making a couple more posts :P ... we all have to start somewhere and rules are rules im afraid!...Even if the top man at Frauds himself joined hed have to stay a trainee till hed made the appropiate number of posts which is either 3 or 5..cant remember which right now..mind..i think after his first post hed run for the hills if he let on who he was :16: :unsure: :16: Why arent you considering the MKII???..Much better looking than the MKIII.. :48: Plus we know all the faults on them and the MKIIIs faults are just beginning to appear.

DVD rom drive after rebooting plays dvds but no music discs..plus all my drives have now been assigned different letters..my F is now E and E is now F..very odd.

washer bottle perhaps??

switch ignition to first turning only..not full on...there is a proceedure in the FAQ section....unless yours has to be reset via vag com???....

After uninstalling and reinstalling tiscali, i can now play music and browse!..thanks Chris.Very much appreciated!..need my music to write. ..so it was the modem all along me thinks. Only prob i have now...is that somewhere along the line my DVD rom drive has stopped working! :rolleyes: :16:

Ok...which i take to mean i have to uninstall tiscali and reinstall it as i cant just swap the modems over??..wont they both use the same drivers?

considering the size and weight of the window and where the clamps are located....i cant understand how the window has come out of the two clamps..unless the screws on the clamps tightening them against the window have come loose..even then the window cant fall out of the clamps..there is no room for them to......which window is it?..it may be the clamps have come off the runners or a cable problem.

its the USB light that flashes red...didnt realise there was writing on the modem saying which light was which!. Does that mean it is the modem at fault??..as i have a spare new adsl modem.If i tried that could it work?

OK..after rebooting yet again...one thing i forgot to add......the left hand light on the adsl modem flashes red slowly when the connection drops.Had a looksie on tiscali help and i couldnt see a pic of a flashing red light .

welcome bayleaf...taking the door apart is simple and sorting the window out is aswell...ive done it as have others.You wont be able to view pics till you have made a couple more posts...trainee guidelines im afraid... Not sure how your window has come adrift as it is held on to the runners by clamps at the bottom of the window..unless its the clamps themselves that have come off the runners..or the cable has snapped or unwound for some reason!

Ok..second time of trying to post this...first time the page froze and i cant close it not even via task manager! My problem. I connect to the internet..all fine.open media player..all fine..play media player all fine..got to change page on i.e...connection drops.Happens every time.Basically i cannot listen to media player and browse the net..its either or. When the connection drops i can only tell it has as my skpye status shows as connecting and windows msn shows me as not signed in.Any web page i try and load shows cannot find server..yet my connection status shows as connected. The only way i can reconnect is to reboot.Shutting down media player and trying to reconnect does not work.It has to be rebooted What has been done. I have updated media player from 10 to 11 and updated 11 from the microsoft website. I have updated everything that needed updating from the microsoft website. I have scanned with AVG/spybot search and destroy/windows defender/adaware..nothing picked up. I have used the blaster worm removal tool and nothing was found. I have done restores back to jan..the prob is still there. I went into system log and found this in system after following the link..(bear with me as it is long)
