After having a really crap day that just got worse..it was then compounded by the ex running over my youngests bike..claimed he never saw it..anyway,...this was the result.... Cue one sobbing 3 year old as "bikey" was "squashed" so i had no choice but to try and fix it.. an hour later..with all nails broken and tyre back on...and stabilisers swapped over...one fixed bike and one very happy 3 year old!!

Thinking out loud here.... could it be that the fuel mixture is too lean/rich?? the wobble at idle..surges of power....makes me think there is a prob with the idle control thingy maybe the car is trying to constantly find the right rev for what it needs.(not explaining clear i know) on idle..when it wobbles...is it like as if the car is going to stall but doesnt?? turbo isnt used on idle..so it cant be turbo on idle..though it could be turbo at other times....though i think maybe cleaning the idle control valve thingy might be worth a shot??? just thoughts anyway.

well, they dont manage with it so whats the difference??..I think they would learn more on how to fix the Galaxy by asking us!..As they use TIS/ETKA/ELSAWIN....and they still manage to bodge stuff up.

If you can hear the diesel...the kids arent screaming loud enough..i never heard my diesel moving around...kids were too loud. ;) Mind..in the veccy i can hear it..i find it reassureing to know that i still have fuel left in it after driving a couple of hundred miles..:D

No misbehaveing was done....just thought you might like to advertise them in classifieds aswell.I can imagine swapping mirrors must be a pain in the rear.

I was always led to believe that if the sidewall got damaged then the tyre should be replaced, but if it was the tread then depending on the damage it should be ok. I lost a brand new tyre on the gal this way when the sidewall had a chunk taken out of it. by something. Guess only you can decide how safe it is and whether you would rather be safe than sorry.

Could try putting them in the classified section strouf...might get a wider audience. <_<

Tim -Spam is correct though..the bigger the job the more daunting..but at least you will know that if it gets ballsed up then its your fault rather than a garage messing it up and blameing it on something else..plus the satisfaction of doing it yourself aswell..should make no difference as to what level of experience you have as you have to learn somehow. My cambelt needs doing on my veccy..and its a lot harder than doing it on the Gal....but im reading up on it and will attempt it myself.....if i mess up..then thats my prob and i will sort it eventually.lol.

Why would the wiring for the wing mirrors go through the door gaitor??

1.click My controls 2.From the menu on the left click Board settings.(its under options) 3.click the drop down menu on number of posts to show on each page...the max is 40. Let me know if you have any probs doing it.

I know the Heated mirror itself is 20 odd quid from fords...sometimes they can be cheap for some parts..others not...As far as i know they are different as i had one work and one not. Cant help you as to where though..sorry. <_<

The only MK3 Galaxy i have seen with a bike carrier was at Dalby forest, and it had a tow bar mounted one...Was strange as it looked very low.
