  1. Point taken slapped wrist for me. I had a van that I had brought and whilst changing the battery lost the code, I rang the owners before me but they could'nt help I went onto a forum and asked nice and friendly and was given the software to decode it, I agree you do not know if it was stolen but I would of had to pay
  2. look at that you said please and thankyou easy realy. your code is 6956
  3. lol
  4. Could it be that the pipe is not fitted correctly and loosning it and twisting slightly it won't come into contact with the cooler pipe. just a thought.
  5. I had the same prob with mine but it did damage to a hose as well cost me
  6. You would have to list the Ser/No and model before anyone could tell you what the corect pin is.
  7. Based on that information then he will need to get some one else with a remote key and program it to his car if it works he has remote.
  8. just re-read your post about key fob I maybe wrong but as a standard remote it was not on a fob but was part of the key itself.
  9. Oh the simple days when at worst you had to put a set of points in to make it run and get an axesaw blade to set the plug gap, tighten the bolt on the steering box to take the slack out of the steering.
  10. I think it was changed for that reson, I just sold a high output alt to some one on another forum as he had the lower output one and he has fitted it with no problems.
  11. I used to have a realy iratating noise from the front passenger side. I got divorced and the noise stopped :D

  13. ‒ Bring ATF to test temperature. Test temperature: 35
  14. Best getting a pressure test done on the cooling system could be leaking from anywhere and would not cost a lot to get done only a matter of a few
  15. Sounds like vac hose to the servo maybe leaking and when you are braking it is taking the air it needs hence the hiss stops.
  16. Thanks for the help guys, I got a new coil pack never even gave that a thought. I'm still thinking if I should just sell it on and put the exra money getting a newer one. I have already done Plugs, leads all filters, oil, disc's pads and wheel bearings,cv joints, new wheels&tyres, had the windows tinted, window motor, starter motor, thermostat, dashboard rattle, and I stil have left to do,brake flexi hoses cracked, water hose leaking
  17. Cheers Dipsomaniac Not long done a full service including leads etc, at first I thought it might be a dodgy lead so tried one of the long old ones on every plug but no difference , might try one of the old plugs or try and find my orange spark plug falshy thingys to see if it may be a duff new plug. If not then I will get the injectors serviced (why not I've replaced almost everything else lol!) it's not bad but I can feel it .When I brought the Sharan I thought I got myself a nice looking bargain but looking nice was a about it as I have since found out that if it can wear out it has. ah well when finished it will be a new car
  18. Just wondering what checks are there to see if the injectors are working correctly and if not what sort of money to replace them. Symptoms are it feels like its not 100% under full foot to the floor driving a bit like a 5 cyl feels like.
  19. My wife won't let me put one in the car, I brought 2 Kenwood screens that I use when we do karaoke one so we can see what disc is loading and the other for when we are recording a singer onto DVD which we don't do so often so my idea was she could look at the big screen the singers use and I could fit the 2 Kenwoods in the car get a player and I'm laughing. She told me to pi*s off  .
  20. Some of you may be aware that I have been going through the car replacing lots of stuff I have now finished and have some new parts left over. The brake pads are TRW The bearing and boot are First Line The CV joint is DriveLink (new not recon) Open to sensible offers.
