  1. The socket is the same as yours............under the front ashtray...remove it completly. Your car is mainly VW...the engine is a Ford
  2. These LPG conversions could be useful after all !
  3. You do realise that all the Girlie's on this forum have now printed this off and are laughing at you. Please do not supply them with any more ammunition in their war against men. p.s. Let us know how much it costs and if there was no damage.
  4. May I suggest the South African approach http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/africa/9812/11/flame.thrower.car/
  5. You not married then Gregers ?
  6. Vagcom will only speak to the VW bits......your engine is a Ford
  7. The usual cause on a Tdi is the brake or clutch pedal switch.......have you checked those ?
  8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=190124585560 Try here
  9. Nice looking kid.........are you sure she's yours
  10. Can you provide us with details of the remapping...where you got it from......if this is not too sensitive. It may prevent other forum members experiencing the same problem.
  11. Are you saying that your "key central locking" works but your "remote central locking" doesn't ?
  12. I think it may just be your car........probably never joined the cable very well....you dont have a weld mark running around the car joining the two halfs together do you ? Was this the guy you bought from ?
  13. Do you think this could have been caused by the engine being chipped ? Just a thought.
  14. Is that just in Victory V's
  15. Further info http://www.ross-tech.com/
  16. Lim, Tottaly agree with your reply, Fraud's as we know are generally terrible when it comes to repairs and I would not be suprised if they are using dodgy components. Classic example is "genuine Ford Parts" ....on a VW !, yeh right......so what actual make are some of these parts then ? As he said at least if you do it yourself you know what has been used.
  17. No good trying to backtrack BJ, if you were in the BB house you could have been evicted for less.
  18. Just had a thought on this. I asssume that when topping up the aircon that you can use some sort of meter to measure tha gas pressure. Is it possible that this could be connected permanently and displayed in the cab......would look cool ! no pun intended
  19. I would shoot them each several times before they jumped just to be sure.
  20. Seatkid's probably right ( he usually is ) However check the obvious, do you have 12v at the starting motor when trying to turn the engine over ( best to disconnect the motor to check this ). If so then the problem is definitely either the motor or the battery ( assuming you dont have a seized engine.......have you tried bump starting it ?....couldn't see if yours is a manual or not ). If you don't have 12v at the motor then you could be looking at a dodgy relay. My money is still on the battery. I think Seatkid's comment was meant with the best intentions...he is a nice guy...a bit dodgy looking apparently...but a good bloke.
  21. It just appears to be this forum ( trainee members help ). I can do uploads in the other forums
  22. Yep tried all the skins. It was working a few days ago though.
  23. Ah ! The mystery of windows. Try running process monitor ( from previous link ). See how much carp is going on in the background. While I typed this windows performed 34,378 processes in the background.
  24. Although defrag can defragment most files there are some fragmented files that will remain and will need a different fragmentation utility, other than defrag, the most popular of which is pagedefrag. 6
