  1. Mine did too!! Passed all the tests and a month later the gas was gone again!!! It had the UV dye put in so having it checked tomorrow. Oggy.
  2. Blimey, I come back and see eight replies and think there must be an answer and its all taking the mickey  I can't even edit the post cos it would make you lot look silly and would I want to do that ;) I was of course referring to Texaco URSA ED 40 1/55 but you all knew that really didn'y you <_< I know I'll have a try of some of that stuff that mumof4 uses when it doesn't move! Cheers Oggy dadof3
  3. Hi All, One of the window switches is sticking in the up position. I had something similar on another motor once and made it worse by spaying with the ole faithful. Any pointers? ED40, silicone lubricant?? Cheers. Oggy.
  4. I loved that advert where you saw the bloke gently closing the tailgate of his estate. With the last gentle push the rear window shatters. Can anyone remember what that was for? Cheers. Oggy.
  5. Agreed - I'm affraid. Ithink that the fact that it is common is not that folk are after the extra miles, its cos the aircon don't work and is too expensive to fix!!! I might be there myself - will know soon  Regards. Oggy.
  6. Now I am not an expert!! but I bought mine with 44K on the clock and was advised somewhere that if the belt had not been done then get it done sharpish!! I got conflicting advice about when the belt should be done, so decided to play safe. Apparently the belt will look a little crazed even when it still has loads of life left in it so it might be that it was done say at 40K and is ok for a while yet. On the other hand it might still be orginal!! Do you have the service history? Sorry - I appreciate that this is not the answer but it might help you to balance all the facts! Regrads. Oggy.
  7. Thanks SeatKid, you have helped me with this before. I appreciate that the whispering noise is low gas and not necessarily a leak, but when it happens one month after a full recharge and service (with no fault found incidentally) it is indicative of something amiss! Whether it is leak or failure of a valve or something I am hoping to find out on Friday because they put an ultraviolet dye in last time and are going to try and locate it! Here's hoping, fingers crossed etc etc!! Thanks for the input. Oggy.
  8. Have to say that I have experienced this wiper behaviour on my Alhambra. I wondered if it was the start of a wiper problem but there seemed to be some sense to what was happening!!! Teddy Holiday's explanation matches what happens with mine. Regards. Oggy.
  9. Unless you have to for warrantee reasons steer clear of the main dealer and find a good garage or A/C specialist that actually knows and understands how it works! Best of luck. Oggy.
  10. Best of luck!! Take plenty of sheets or something for padding and some decent rope or whatever it is that removal firms uses to stop it sliding about. Regards. Oggy.
  11. This is the piccy - slightly blurred I'm afraid of the bit on the door that the studs clip into. Still reckon it ought to allow the panel to slide vertically up! Cheers. Oggy.
  12. Climate unit has started to flash - its no longer a partial loss!!!!! This is starting to look bad. I'll keep you informed if I don't have to sell the PC! Cheers. Oggy.
  13. It were me - I think! The slots on the door panel look like the door panel should  slide vertically upwards. Only discovered it myself after busting a clip and one of the slots on the door panel though  Cheers. Oggy.
  14. Thanks, BTW the diagram was posted by NikpV. Apparently they put an ultra violet sensitive dye in last time so should be able to spot it! Famous last words!! Cheers. Oggy.
  15. Sure as I can be. As somebody once said
  16. Hi All, Any help with really appreciated. This is on a system with Climate Control. Had this happen last Sept as well. Whispering noise down by the glove box, loss of cooling, no display flashing on the climate unit though. Checked by aircon machine, pressure/vacuum test etc, gas was low but otherwise no fault found. Topped up the gas, worked fine until ..... ..... about a month ago when I had a full loss due to a fractured pipe. Climate control display flashing, complete loss of cooling
  17. I have what i think is the 'post number' of a message in the forum. Anyone know how I can go to it? Cheers. Oggy.
  18. With all the seats out and the driver and passenger seat pushed forward a bit more than was comfortable I got a 3 seat sofa in and managed to close the tailgate! Couldn't get the sofa into the lounge but that's another story!! Cheers. Oggy.
  19. Saw a job advert in our local paper for one of the people that wanders around in the skips at our local tip telling people where to put their rubbish - or perhaps more accurately, where they can't put it!! They are paid over
  20. tahirti3, I have replied to you on the other thread 'sudden gas loss'. Regards. Oggy.
  21. Its all my fault!! Somewhere in this forum I think I must have said that mine was ok
