  1. El Dingo, I tried a Blaupunkt San Diego in my Alhambra. Needed to modify the wring but worked ok with the speakers, but though I like a good sound I am not a buff like some of the folks on here. Would still have it now if it hadn't kept jumping on CD's. There are tow threads here about that if you are interested. Now got a second hand Panasonic from a mate, works fine and quite happy with the sound. Cheers. Oggy.
  2. Hi All, A couple of weeks ago the glow plug was replaced by local garage. After that the aux worked but smoked a lot possibly due to crap that was in it. Switched off and worked again. Garage says operation was intermittent not continuous. Got the car back and heard it working but whether it was firing I didn
  3. Yunno with all their marketing and everything its a wonder that Tesco's haven't spotted a niche in the market here and got a few shelves devoted to Aux Heaters at this time of year!! Either that or driving coats, gloves, ear muffs, thermal socks .... furry hats ..... Cheers. Oggy.
  4. Its in hand -so to speak! Thanks forgetting back. Oggy.
  5. jimjamjo, Where did you get this info from? Also you say Mk1, does it appy to the Mk2? Cheers. Oggy.
  6. Justice, I notice that you have the VR6 but have you any idea whether with this lead I will be able to find and clear Aux Heater fault codes? Also whether it will switch on parts of the Aux Heater assembly? Cheers, Oggy.
  7. Hi All, Used mine for the first time this morning and I thought it wasn't working cos no lines or anything. Then suddenly all the frost went soft and it wiped off!! Just as well as the Aux Heater is u/s at the moment. Now would i swap that for a working Aux Heater?? :o :o Cheers. Oggy.
  8. Ok, many thanks. I will give on the p2p client then, it all looked a bit dodgy anyway   Cheers. Oggy.
  9. What peer to peer client did you use? Can't get anywhere with eMule
  10. Thanks Justice, that'll do for me. Cheers. Oggy.
  11. .... and increasing .... rapidly!! Coldest winter for years, they are saying <_< :( Oggy.
  12. SeatKid, Thanks but that is not the one I meant. I meant the one that is on the wiper linakge. Cheers. Oggy.
  13. Matt, >> Im glad my pictures/post has helped someone lol, >> that's what this forum is partly here for. I think the work that people like you and many others others put into this forum is brilliant. The thread and piccy's have been archived onto my PC for future reference, just in case they go missing from the thread - as they sometimes do! I won't contact you to send any of the bits, times are hard <_< but I can stretch to a couple of quid. Cheers. Oggy.
  14. It isn't working - just like mine isn't!! <_< :( With the ambient air temp in the mid 40's F and from a stone cold car, it took about 8 miles before the temp gauge even started to move! Double that mileage before it started to get anywhere near normal. Regards. Oggy.
  15. Hi All, Is this gonna be ok? I can't afford the full lead right now and just want to check Aux Heater error codes. I know that I have been told to avoid dodgy stuff but this looks like it will do the do for the freeware part of vag.com or am I being naive ..... again <_< vag.com lead Cheers. Oggy.
  16. Jeff, The part number of the glow plug that they fitted was 7M3 963 319A and I have been having a chat with MM at the end of this thread concerning the apparent discrepancy!! I notice that you have also been contributing to that recently. The part no discussion is on page 8 of the thread. Agree that it is a huge leap to go to a new unit from what is happening here. Thanks for your input. Oggy.
  17. Hi Jeff, Glad to see that are back around! In answer to you last sentence -- Yes!! The local garage where I get my Alhambra serviced recently changed the glow plug because back in March SEAT had diagnosed it as open circuit. First time on it filled the workshop with smoke apparently, but seemed to work ok. Not having VAG.com, but they do have something else that they used, they did not find or clear any fault codes. However it had worked!! After that I heard it working a few times but I have to admit that I did not get under the car or anything to see if it was hot or
  18. Martin, Scuse my ignorance, what's an oban? Cheers. Oggy.
  19. MM, I did a Google on VAG 7M3-963 and then translated the hit with the header that read. SGAF::VW Sharan - Ford Galaxy - Seat Alhambra Forum :: Gl
  20. MM, I have been having a look too and keep finding references to 7D0 relating to Golf GTi's??
  21. MM, I am going to end owing you something here!!!! Many thanks (again) for your help. I completely accept your word, but is there any document that you point me to that backs it up beacuse I am going back to the garage that ordered and fitted this part, but it is going to get complicated because they bought the part from SEAT (so to be sure they got the right bit!!!). So it it posbile that 'a glow plug' has been fitted, but that it has burnt out or something because it was the wrong part. It definately worked, at least once!!! Also where does the 819 come from? Don't see that it any part numbers above? Regards. Oggy.
  22. Hi All, Before I go shorting out the wrong thing has anyone got a piccy of the Aux heater temp sensor they could post please. Or a link to one. Had a look here and can't find one. Cheers. Oggy.
