ive just checked,i can see the pictures on page 6,im thinking if you cannot then maybe its because your a newbie,you need to make a few more posts then all should be ok.

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's' mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even more rude. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd killed the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behaviour." John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behaviour, the bird spoke-up, very softly, "May I ask what did the turkey do wrong?"

i wouldnt be surprised if when you were rodding the pipe that you may have punctured it somewhere as well?? as mark has said for the sake of a few quid hange the pipes.i wouldnt be happy if i put everything back and it still leaked:angry2: so save your hard graft and do the job once and for all. as another post has suggestedmlook at the pollen filter area? keep us informed.

mine arrived this morning,got to wait until the weekend before i get the chance to fit it, GREAT another 4 days of no heat in the car,aaaaaaaarrrrggghhhhh.

I did run the car today, and the jet pack didn't fire up, even though I'm sure it was below 5 degrees Centigrade. well it shouldve,mine(when it was working)used to fire up,up to about 11-12 degrees. iirc the mk1 was 5 and below.

no im sure it doesnt,ive removed mine about 5 weeks ago,due to the same problem of excess ammounts of smoke,awaiting delivery of new plug.i havnt noticed anything else not working without the fuse in place.

well then if your certain youve checked everything,then i would suggest you either have a leak from the windscreen (somewhere)or its to do with the sunroof,the sunroof is adjustable so it can close tighter onto the seal,i done my old mk1 but for the life of me i cant remmember how i done it:unsure:think it was more trial and error:rolleyes:. jubilee clips are a good idea,poke some curtain rod down the drain pipes just to make sure theres no crud in them. OH AND MAKE SURE YOUEITHER WEAR GLOVES OR HANDS ARE VERY CLEAN when replacing the headlining you dont want any marks on it.

the heater working flat out then reducing in noise etc is correct afaik. is there huge ammounts of smoke? if not then i would say your heater is working ok. if there is then yes i would suggest the starting point could well be the glow plug. when its working and your in the car do you smell/see any smoke entering the cabin ?

welcome to the forum.

1st thing i would do is get some heat in the car,take it on a run with the heating on. then make sure that all drain off pipes are in situ and tight and clear of any debris,if loose perhaps put a cable tie round them. does your rear washer work?if not then im wondering if the pipe has come off and you have a swimming pool under your passenger floor ,info on a fix in the faqs in the technical section. ,hence the ammount of water, or it could be a heater matrix problem have you lost any coolant? or a leak round the windscreen? there are too many variables to be certain so i would check everything, welcome to the forum.
