open bonnet either side of engine bay,under wipers.just wondered if these were blocked with crud?

like wot chris has said.if they can extract more dosh out of you then it aint covered on any kind of service plan.

check for broken wires in the rear hatch loom,common problem. info on joining new wires are found in the technical section of the forum.

yep read up on the numerous threads/posts on this subject as it could well be 1 of many things wrong with your unit.

i think the reason you have no reply's is as you may of gathered there is limited info on the mks/smax in general. its a slow process but as and when info becomes available it will be posted up on here and other forums ;)

the run on pump is just a gentle hum which you should be able to hear whilst sitting in the car,glove box area.

no i dont think there is 1 yet,ive been trying to obtain info on my smax and thats slim pickings aswell,as there very similar cars if you get any info then plz post it up.

there is lots of info about the using the correct oil in a pd engine car.do a search.

do a search for maf issues.

as seatkid has said,id be VERY surprised if you even find a decent mk1 at that price,unless its a bucket of bolts.

i would hazzard a guess that it was removed because your heater is rather smoky ole chap.lol

yeah the forums fooked,have pm'd admin ages ago to sort it. be prepare it may go into melt down. :) like it did a couple of weeks ago.

wotcha steve,welcome to the forum. a lot of the most common problems with these cars (faqs)can be found in the technical section of the forum . top right hand side of page there is a search bar,type in the problem you have and just like how google works it will search the forum data base to see if anything matches your inquiry.
