also make sure you have the under tray insitu,if not can cause all sorts of problems.

if you do the on board diagnostic check,then scroll through the menus it should tell you what version you are running,iirc i read somewhere its something like'1007' is the most upto date 1???.

well iirc the central locking/alarm module is underneath the front passenger seat,so this may well be sitting in water from a leak from the rear washer pipe that has a join right above the module,common problem found in the faqs. or the wires in the doors have broken/frayed hence why the central locking doesnt work.

welcome to the forum, iirc MY= manufacturing year? 2.3= ford engine,again iirc fairly bomb proof like the 2ltr version its a cam chain and not a belt,do a search on here for any info.

TOLD YAH :16: :16: :16: yes m8 just like the smax,and from my research you have to get the correct size wheel etc. and as mine are 18 inch snowflakes thats what i got with the correct tyre,i have it strapped to 1 of the middle seats as i do not usually have my rear most seats up,also if you do decide to go down this route make sure you get a decent lifting capacity jack.im assuming like the smax there are a few stowage compartments you can stash it in.

cant help you on the gearbox light, but was your aircon on when you heard the squealing? if so it may well be the clutch plate on the compressor failing? or the pully on the alternator, do a search in the faqs

i would suggest looking through reviews on the cars you are looking at,then look through forums like this 1 for any feedback.make a short list then arrange to test drive a few. there has been a thread on the mk3 recently where there is info from members,pros and cons.

have you got rear aircon? do you have 5 opening windows rather then 6?

welcome to the forum. have you tried doing a search on here for the info,iirc there plenty of info on this. again iirc there is even a detailed post on what to buy and how to cut and attach a blind. my old mk2 ghia didnt come with any of the fittings either,i was thinking of fitting everything to do this myself but sold the car in the end,oh and if your thinking of doing it? i have 2 blinds in my garage 1 grey 1 black that need rehoming :rolleyes: ;)

sorted ;) thought the heated screen was a 'ford' idea so perhaps they havnt allowed it?? iirc auto express rate the Alhambra better then the mk3. afaik the mk3 does not need a booster. why have you ruled out the smax?is it because you need the size of a full 7 seater? test drive 1 before you rue it out completely. funny isnt it i test drove a mk3 and didnt like it,mind you it was just a basic model so maybe that was the reason. :rolleyes:
