the under tray is defo required,if you search the forum there are many posts within threads mentioning about lack of undertray resulting in defected steering and the likes.i would get a new 1 asap.

there are posts on this problem,use the search bar, saif think you were in the right area. but iirc you have to remove the trim on the back door to get to the lock/solenoid.

JK,just for info ive just bought 1 of those silverline oil extractors from a seller on ebay for

popped into my local halfords this evening to check out the price for oil,AND THEY WANT 37 QUID FOR 5 LTRS,this is for halfords bog standard oil(pd version)that was a lot more the mobil oil and that came with a free GOLF UMBRELLA whoopee. so yet another post on where is the cheapest place to obtain the correct il for a tdi. info greatly appriciated. gregers

plus as mentioned many times,that its best to use the aircon to clear the screen quicker then the normal heater,and using the aircon in the winter months keeps the whole system working correctly.

think the spare does if its fitted? if you cannot get the remote mended?then look on ebay for them,just make sure you get the correct 1,then just move the pats chip and key part onto the new remote then follow the detailed instructions to reprogram to the car. also check on your old mot for advisories,then iirc you can check what they were on the vosa website?
