yep i was,having spent a bit of time removing the bloody motor from the headlight,regreasing,refitting and finding the bloody thing didnt work out it came again :lol: on furthur investigation it appeared that the windings had gone as far as it could and had become jammed,so had to wipe all the new grease out,reset the windings and refit,put back on car and now working as well as the passenger side,so thanks to this thread its sorted.

:lol: well wait until you have to change a brake switch,then your really have summit to moan about :lol:

have a search and email some of the peeps who are breaking the cars.

you can program the new key to open and close the car,but to get it to start the car this requires a visit to the stealers or a decent mobile locksmith to program the pats chip to the car. and it aint cheap.

hi steve,yep not bad m8ty hope you and yours are all, yes the extractor is to save the time of removing undertray,im hoping the sedement if any will come up the pipe,but i suppose the proof is in the pudding and ill let you know? iirc the fuel filter was replace approx 2 years ago about 16k ago?this was major service and everything got changed where needed. i went to a similar place as kwikfit last year for the oil change,i supplyed the oil and filter and iirc they charged me

am going to be servicing my car in the next few weeks,having bought a silverline oil extractor(many thanx to jkspoff for the info and pointers). how often is it advisable to change the fuel filter?and is there any pointers i need to complete the tast smoothly? iirc the pollen filter was changed a couple of years ago,does it need changing again? am changing the oil&filter and air filter,any other things i need to check? have tried searching but still think theres a few teething problems with the forum?either that or my comp is playing silly buggers. anyway many thanks gregers

you sure saif? mines got red all way round and its a 115bhp,just checked on askmid i thought it was red all round the silver was -115 red i -130 all red -150 but who knows?

im assuming im suffering this problem now.missus parked the car up this evening and the noise comming from the drivers side headlight (loud whirring).gave the light a bit of a thump and the noise stopped,turned the lights off and then back on and the noise had returned,messed around with the thumb turn and lo and behold only the passenger side is working, but whats with the constant noise,is there a short in the headlight?

dont apoligise ive felt like a forest once or twice. ;) like the saying goes you either know or you dont, but feel free to use the search function to see if your problem has been posted before?that way were save the forests. ;)

tony,with the engine off and bonnet up,grab hold of the engine and try to rock it,if you can then i would say its the restrictor/stabilizing bar,common problem im afraid do a search on it.

saif,you can have a look at my front electric window aswell plz m8,as mine is still fubared.
