I know someone with a sharan petrol. They bought it to tow a caravan! They say it feels a little sluggish. I did tell them at the time to buy a diesel? they no listen! I feel the TDi is brill when towing although not fast the grunt it has is fantastic!

Broken wire? Just fiddle until you find a broken wire or loose joint? Not sure if it earths through the body make sure it has a good seating?

Looking at the photos I can see that the drivers wiper is the lead one. This is not the case on all Glaxay so this will hinder how much you can take away by ajusting the wiper. On my MK1 the drivers wiper was second but I did ajust both up 1 spline and that helped. After, the drivers wiper tip just came to the edge of the glass tapering away at the bottom. My new galaxy has the same problem just not got around to doing it yet. As has been covered before RainX or the like does help.

Yes you can see them in daylight, even better at night with a car comming the other way! I noticed the other night how much the car was misting up. It was cold and wet and I turned the CC up to 23. Every time we got in and started to go all windows steamed up. Just a funny night have had no problem since.

If you want a retro look get them another colour to the ones you replace. Check there is no knocking from the front when going over bumps! Check drivers door locks without a gritty feeling when turning the key. regards engine and gear box sorry i'm a oil burning manual man! :rolleyes: Also remeber why they are cheap. You sump plug was stripped because somewhere another was repaired it is a big circle. Through your misfortune someone else gained. That must make you feel better!

And if anyone hits you from behind it puts a nice wedge in the front of their car. This acts a crumple zone? I also have a fixed tow bar with not problems. In fact it helps me wash the roof it acts as a good step!

Twice had this problem. First time it was after towing the load on the switch seemed to make an arc in the switch. The coil light would come on after about half an hours driving when you hit traffic and had to use the brake. Switch the engine on and off and it would be Ok. Second time I cleaned the switch with plenty of switch cleaner and again that cleared it. Had no more problems until I sold it.

I fitted one on a 96 galaxy but it was not the led type just a one brake bulb in a holder that a surround to it. I think I took it off before I sold it it so it must ne knocking around in the garage somewhere? they are at most auto shops.

If you want petrol fine. But just understand that the MPG can hurt. 30 ish to the gallon. If there is any chance of a TDI then condsder it. Look for all the normal. Service history tyre wear etc. also car park knocks. It is also the age of car to get a knock on the front anti roll bar link so when driving listen when going over bumps to a knocking at the front. Try the door key make sure it turns freely in the driver lock as these can get very tight and grating! And again check AC. Hope you enjoy!

Been going to France for the last 14 yrs have never had a problem with police even when I have had nothing. Just use black gaffer tape to shape of beam. How often do you use your lights its light till 11pm. If you start to dazzle people just drop your beam a notch! It is good watching people try to work out on the dock though. First time with AC this year just waiting to see what the differance is
