Mine has multi steering wheel and 1 power point. I thought 1 power point was standard now? Can confirm mine is uk registered as They gave me 3 yrs ford warranty. I think imports only get 2 yrs? B)

Would also be interested if anyone has info on a hands free kit that could be used with any phone. that is also legal!

Does the remote close the windows? I have a sunroof and and find that only the key will remote close.

Th MF Steering wheel has cruise control on it. If it is a ghia, then that age will have cruise control. Also Radio controls on steering wheel.

After I had had my first galaxy a couple of years, I had a problem with the drivers lock becoming gritty and hard to turn. At the time I got all the locks changed on warranty. From then on I lubricated the lock just before winter as this seemed to be the worse time. The garage did say it was a problem on the Mark ! galaxy. Have not heard about the Mark 2. Anyone know if they have overcome this problem?

:D Thanks for that got the wrong idea as to what it was, it does explain the smell :D The next question is does the computer use this information about fuel when giving MPG?

Can you also believe what it tells you. I have been trying to find this air going to the front window. I can have it on demist and also econ but do I believe the book as it says demist puts the aircon on? :D Another one is you can turn the Aux heater to off in the morning, yet it still winds down like a jet engine when you have stopped? which to me means its still on! :D Still drives well and I could drive it for miles everytimr I start up! :D

Some have said why have a sunroof with AC? I had a sunroof on my old galaxy and found it invaluble on a cold frosty morning with the heating on full lovely warm feet with cooler air around the head. It also helped clear the mist very quickly, and I found that it helped pull more air through the car clearing windows. Thats why it was on the spec when I changed to this new car. Even if I had not found one with a sunroof I would have had one put in! Sorry for all those that say if you have AC you don't need a sunroof!

This was before I put the CC on De Mist! it was lit up when starting!

Twice now I have noticed when going to start up first thing, my front window sitch for clearing frost ect has come on. I have not switched it and it has only been on cold mornings. Have they put an Auto switch in. I can't see anything about it in the book?

You will need one of the star shaped sockets to undo the screws then just take the plastic wing protection out under the wheel arch, did not take long a lttle fiddly. I found that on my model there was only one outlet on the passenger side. To see if its draining put a hose pipe on the window and watch to see it the water runs out under the wing! If its blocked you then have to de flood the footwell :P :angry: :o sorry!

I had this problem with a 1.9 mark 1. The best way I found was to take the inner plastic wing off on the passenger side. This will allow you to get to the outlet hole in the wing. I found that there was a plastic sleeve with a rubber flap the got clogged up with leaves and anything else that got washed down. I just took the plastic and rubber away and left the hole in the wing. I had no more problems. I did keep checking when washing the car to see that it drained out, that side of the wing. The problem seems to be that the water is sent from one side of the car to the other near the pollen filter this it seems is how it got in when it backs up. Hope that helps!

So just running the CC on auto will not always use the AC? Or do we have to run it cold as well? to get the circulation to the unit that is required?

I had this problem on a 1.9 96 model. I changed the brass drivers catch with an escort and oiled it up and it seemed OK had no more trouble!

Does take a time to warm up. With heated seats you get a warm bum but cold hands. If you sit on your hands you get a ticket from the men in blue. Probably the next model should have Auto steering?

My 130 is all red on the colour of the car? eg Blue

On my Mk 1 galaxy I moved the drivers wiper up a spline and the top of the wiper just touched the body work when ongetting rid of that blind spot. I now have a MK2 and the blind spot is even worse I will try the same again!

I thought they had to be reinforced for insurance?

Last time I re fitted contis they were

I tow a small 4 birth caravan about 16ft with a 1.9 90bh Galaxy, and find it great. It tows like a train. Can take a little time to get to 60+ but once there will sit there all day. Get about 35 to the gal when towing. In fact I usely get held up with cars tha are not towing.Also carry 4 bikes and all the gear for a holiday. The extra space when the seats are out in the back is wonderful. I put a small infatable boat with outboard there. and the awning etc. If the 115 is better then you won't get much better for towing. The caravan is so stable. I think it would be fine without a stabliser.

I don't know if it will help. I had a problem with the glow plug light comming on in traffic. It was the brake pedal switch. It always happened after towing must have been overloading it. Changed switch . no more problems. Probably nothing to do with your problem. Hope you sort it. These niggles get to you sometimes.

Yep had the same problem with the kids and mine. Have had to replace twice since I have had the car. There is a spline on mine that s longer than the rest and this locates in a slot in the panal. I used clear silcon out of a tube and taped them until dry. This was so it is easy to get off again as it peals. Because they will have to be replaced again!!!!!!!!! Also gives more time to position them. TIG

I have had a problem of water in the front foot well a while back. I have a mark1 gal. It always happend when it rained, the drain grommet in the wing got block on a regular basis. In the end I took it ouy and have had know problem since. Leaves and muck seem to block it up. then it backs up and comes in the pollen filter. With you Gal being so new I wonder if this is the ptoblem?

When we take our dog in the car, we tie her lead to the back seat belt fixings on the floor. and the clip her to it Have never had problems of her climbing, as she can't get far!
