we looked at one before getting the gal but having to remove a child seat from the second row to slide seats and get the back seats up seemed far worse than shifting the 35kg gal seats around :( :(

yep looks fine - one of the cheaper ones
-
internal is cheaper and since you have a gap I would stick to that. looking on ebay they are mostly strangly expensive cheap ebay one

very much limited to the speed of your usb (and that of the drive be careful - usb 1.1 -slow but there are two flavours of usb2 (normal 12 and hi-speed 480) I have an external sony but that is connected using firewire
-
your dvd-rom may become redundant but its likely that any new drive you get will be faster than an old dvd-rom drive, it may be useful if you want to do a direct copy from cd -~>cd or dvd->dvd. You could bacck up to cd but dvd hold much more data 4.7Gb upwards I'm sure someone will point you to an auction soon.

try ebay then slightly off topic - looking at woofys el dingos third link I notice that you can get a 3.5 disk drive for under a fiver :( :o - I remember when they cost over a

Yours won't if it's 'Fooked'... Did you have two drives, and one is broken? (Either of those linked with write CD's. The Sony one will write DVD's as well.) no a dvd-rom(read only memory) won't - it will play them - you need a writer to do that :P A DVD-ROM will write CD's if it's a Combi Drive, which most are these days. plain vanilla dvd-rom wont - any sort of combi rewriter will write cd's unless its f**ked - not bought any optical drives in thge last year but have 3 dvd-roms that just play all the others have writer in the name (3 more)

no a dvd-rom(read only memory) won't - it will play them - you need a writer to do that :P the second ebuyer link above looks fine - will do everything you want + back up your dvd movies (with some added software (pm me when needed) + back up your system onto a few disks (at the most)
-
My advice - watch them - check they don't screw up the connections for the heating elements = cup of tea, newspaper comfy chair time :P
-
listen to him - dvd rewiter will do your cd's and you can burn dvd's - for backup, dvd films etc little extra cost :P
-
well they came out and replaced the scuttle panel and new clips - rock solid now. Eventually did a good job :P but what bothers me is that it needed me to be on their case - if not I expect we would have more black silicone gluing it together

Smoking On Cold Startup
NikpV replied to shepheap's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I stand corrected - I just remember that white/grey smoke can indicate timing slightly out - at least it did with my escort - endura engine ran ok one tooth out just smokey on startup (difficult) and under load - I didn't check this myself though :P -
Electric Windows And Door Wiring
NikpV replied to Shabazmo's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
removing door card mk2 this and much more useful info - including repairing the wires is in the faq (click on the red link in my signature :P ) while you're at it giving us some car details will help us to help you (click on the other read link in my sig  ) Much cheaper to splice in some nw quality wires - broken ones are likely to be in the door boot gaiter where they have been flexed - usually broken inside the insulation  -
Smoking On Cold Startup

wonder if the timing is one tooth out :P -
umm would she need any further flotation aids, after considerable study I would think that she probably wouldn't sink :P
-
they did look pretty cheap and nasty from the photographs if as they were new Ford economising then :P

Is it a radio based remote or an Irda based one - some car details especially the year would help - post your details in your signature (click on the red link in my sig if you need some help)
