  1. I wonder if there is a difference here between mk1 and mk2 ??
  2. Iwould start by investigating the wires in the rubber boots connecting the doors to the car - confirmed weakness and can cause problems like these - insulation can crack and allow shorts or wires can break check out the faq (click on the piccy in my signature) there are several mentions of the rubber boots
  3. a search using 'abs, ring' brings up loads of hits for example one example thread note the comma in the search is important - leave out the quote marks though

  6. what happens when you fade from front to rear ?
  7. oh yes my drivers door speaker needs a wiggle of the boot to make it work sometimes, I assume that the drivers door boot wires are most likely to fail due to it being the most used

Got one of those ventura in car dvd's - useful for a long journey. with the Galaxy I would like to extend the leads to get to the back row - te connector is a mini din as shown here any ideas where I can get an 1) extension lead or 2) 2 sockets which I can solder back to back (I have another lead) - tried the usual suspects maplin, CPC farnell etc I do have 2 more screens as well, any idea if I could split the output to produce 3 screens instaed of the usual 2 (only one player)

  22. I would suspect that your isp is the problem here - for one reason or another - they will blame somebody else though everybody has their own view but many are recorded here
  23. after we had a new instrument cluster install they forgot to enable the trip computer part - it took them 5 mins to do this with the ford eqquivalent of the vag-com (as tim-spam says)
  24. the 7.6 is the sync speed - the maximum transfer will probably about 7ish, somewhere there is a set of profiles which tell you the max transfer rate for all sync speeds
