have a look here how to change a maf this link is in the FAQ which you can also get to by clicking on the faq link in my signature (along with lots of other useful links) btw MAF = Mass AirFlow sensor
failure of the bolt at the gearbox end of the roll restrictor ?? do a search there is a piccy somewhere not uncommon, side effect may be damage to air con pipe work as engine rolls under load
butterfly valve ??? if you have a look which bit moves on the carburetter while someone presses the accelerator - try moving it with your fingers and letting go if the revs die quickly then its probably the cable not valve thats sticking (based on cars from 20 years ago - none of that drive by wire stuff)
it depends on the error - eg 5 flame outs need a reset but endless number of open-circuit errors do not : I think the criteria is whether the heater has fired up - if it has and been shutdown 5 times it will need resetting AFAIK
comments on here indicate that maf faults rarely get picked up by vag-com vnt fault may be reported though (+ve deviation mentioned above) especially if it trips into limp home mode
do you have a spare key - if so try it (ps dont know what you have tried since this seems like a new thread ? - if it is its best to tag it on to the old thread - adding a new post will bring it back to the top)
popped into 'limp home mode' for some reason - restarting resets it, any pattern to when it does it? - how many miles has the car done?, symptoms very similar to those who have had sticking turbo vanes ??? have a look here
umm odd - I can see my enlarged attachment (oooo err) and all other pictures I've looked at - I notice from the piccy big_kev you are using the default skin (bottom left of the page) do you get the same if you change to 'Silver light blue' which is the one I use (and from comments before its the one glen was using)
