  1. we do this at the moment - 2 year old in centre with 5 and 7 year olds on either side, (whilst I know you are not using it as you only have a lap belt but I have bolted on spare seat belt connector to this child seat so it that can be used in any positoin in the rear 5 seats- simple bolt on and cut out the plastic fairing-sp?)
  2. yes you need the pats chip to run the car - nowt to do with locking though
  3. BTW if you have any mates witrh remotely operated gals get them to try programming their /working key to your car - easy enough to program back if its a working key
  4. ok it looks like its getting in to programming mode (door lock led comes on) but there is no eveidence that the car is receiving the signal when the remote buttons are clicked - light on the key will flash whether the car is in programming mode/present at all. Take your remote into a ford dealer and ask them to check it - they have a little reciever for this - if the transmitter is knackered you could buy a blank key from ebay and just swap the key blade over - Easy if is the standard (non flip key version)
  5. procedure doesnt need one remote already programmed to work - done this on my car. (- several times usually after someone hes held the lock button whilst pressing unlock 3 times out of range of a car  - )
  6. if its this post - I think you are out of luck - there is a prroblem with some image storage on he forum - I can't see the pictures in the above post

  12. ours will run on for a minute or so before shutting down (at least the fan is running- making sure it doesnt overheat)
  13. I've just done the rears - pads and discs mintex cost about
  14. sounds like they disconnected something and not got it back right
  15. reversing lights - switch in gearbox wiper- broken wires in rubber boot connecting tailgate to body
  16. IIRC - If I recall correctly vag-com - software/hardware for communicating with Voltswagon audi group cars
  17. not done it myself but IIRC it was not much of a job

  21. Ive had a complaint abouut this one - depressing ....... sorry biscuit going to have to warn you ....
  22. usually work such as belt changing is a separate procedure from the 'major' service - the service includes things like the brake fluid change which makes it more than the standard service ...... as insider says though you have chain which should last at least to 120K I would have thought
  23. rapidly flashing door led -> trouble with pats?? Changed anything on your keyring?
  24. classic loss of vacuum - slowly slows down - probably perished hose behind passenger headlight
