umm, I did two 3 hour lessons + one hour the following week before the test and passed :( although I had 1 lesson 18 years before in ... Bournemouth !! before moving away

sorry no - I was assuming that the diagram would help you to see if you are missing any bits/broken - if not I would try and find a bit of tube the right diameter and hold it down with something like a pencil through the middle (with somebody else helping - to get the spring in the correct position brfore fitting the paddle. Not tried it myself :lol: so good luck - let us know how you get on :lol: btw the tool doesn't look very complicted - diagrams show it cut away in diagrams 5,6,7

Witnessed this very thing in a supermarket carpark (if somerfields can be called a super-market) old bloke got out of the offending car swearing and cursing at the other driver ;) - she looked shocked at this - wrote my name and address on a post it and gave it to the woman, told her it wasn't her fault and got a load of verbal from the bloke saying he needed the witness ;) - just laughed and drove off, filled in form a couple of weeks later and a nice thank-you note from woman a month later - job done :lol:

Have you checked the drivers side loom where it goes through the rubber boot between the door and A-pillar - seems to be first port of call since it causes so many symptoms for doors and window problems ;)

have they pulled the wiring through somehow ?
