  1. of anything in particular :D :D :D
  2. glad its sorted any idea which bits had jammed ?
  3. Its got it in BIG red letters because in some situations it causes extreme problems - e.g. in at least some plastic moulding tooling it ruins the tools - in a past life I've seen them throw out
  4. :D :D good comeback though
  5. I thought I had the pats error codes somewhere but can't find them at the moment, will keep looking but someone else may have them. do you have another key, if so try it when you have the problem.
  6. and get used to using you door mirrors :D
  7. atm - finding that 55 -60 is best but having trouble testing at 70mph see post above
  8. Just replaced our MAf on a run of about 7 miles - A6 50-60mph mpg has jumped from 37 to about 43, at motorway speeds its made less difference mind you the only run I've done is along the a14 and was plagued by the usual hgv syndrome of lorries waiting til I've pulled out to overtake when they decide that they can overtake the hgv ahead - just maybe - so slow down for 3 miles inching past tanker, then accelerating past until we get to next pair of hgv's - it happened about 5 times over the 30 mile stretch so it was difficult to stay on cruise.
  9. dead in there tonight
  10. usually means there is a problem with the 'passive anti theft system' - PATS but IIRC the number of flashes does give an error code - will need to have a look, if you provided some idea of your location someone with a vag-com may be prepared to read any stored fault code for the price of a pint.
  11. Having chatted to swmbo it looks like we would be interested in somewhere like savernake where we could have a walk followed by bbq and chat with other gal owners, for us timing would be crucial - depends when the house move goes ahead, anybody else interested? Come on folks enough expressed an interest when it was theoretical.
  12. but not most mpg :D
  13. may just need a top up then
  14. see poll above - there is a problem but can't tell how serious - never heard of it being any other problem but air con
  15. It means there is a problem - may just need a re-gas (
  16. they sometimes come up on ebay - now get back to work :D :D :D :D
  17. note - lever next to seat pad in plastic trim - try passenger side first to find out which of the drivers seat levers is the swivel - other one is seat height - will sping up if not being sat on when activated :D :D :D :D
  18. AFAIK they are standard unless you have multimedia installed - screen in headrests. To operate, pull lever on passenger seat and rotate seat outwards (back inwards) - you may have to adjust seat position to get free rotation, the drivers side works the same way but you will have to tilt seat forward and get correct position to get past the steering wheel (best to have steering wheel full forwards) you can tilt the seat back after. Hope this helps
  19. and it only took 6 posts to get there as well :o :o :) :D :o
  20. I was under the impression that fraud had a standard charge for fault diagnosis with work then on top, If this was the case then
  21. now 2 tonnes I could believe - unladen kerb weight is about 1800kg - tdi auto - IIRC
