  1. Or if you want to make somthing, Get a 5volt Regulator from Maplins, 12 Volts in and 5 Volts out, Don't quote me but I think it is a 7805, and at a guess about 50P Radiotwo
  2. Hi again, Thanks I have not got it yet, but will keep you in mind although I am fitting two units, one to my son-in laws car, and one in my new works van, when I get it next March Radiotwo
  3. Thanks Gooner Thats what I needed to know ! No Have not fitted a Parrot kit, but seems easy. Don't know as I have heard of the 3200ls, I have seen the CK3100 at a decent price and was going for that, as I also want to put one in my new Van when I get it. Radiotwo
  4. Hi All I am after some info for the above radio, well its for my Son-in-law, he has a 2002 1.9tdi Galaxy with a 6000 radio fitted, well the one with the CD changer We want to fit a Parrot Bluetooth car kit, fitting it is not a problem but I need to know if it has a ISO Connector for the speakers etc. and if any one has a picture of the back of one of these radios would be great. I want the info before I get the kit ! Many thanks in advance Radiotwo
  5. Its a shame people don't read up on things before making comments like this, as a little knowledge is dangerous !! All lead acid batterys have this "stuff" as you put it, all the "batt Aid" tablets are, are dried Acid, and its just to give a battery a sort of kick start, and if you look after a non sealed battery it will last longer than a sealed one. The thing that kills a battery is a overcharging circuit, if your alternator puts out more than 14.2 Volts then it will what thay call "Cook" (or Boil) the battery, and boil off all the acid. The ideal Voltage is 13.8, and as long as you are doing enough milage thats the best. Hi dg The tube is a breather tube, so when the battery builds up pressure it has somewhere to release the gas,so just feed the pipe down so it points down to ground and not onto the bodywork etc Radiotwo
  6. Hi All No not winding you up, mine has a 2nd start, and also got a (in my case) a Power button, but may be known as a "sport mode" which holds it in each gear longer, and I think stops it going into 5th. and just to mention My dad had a omega, and that had the same, I just assumed the ford box had cought up Radiotwo
  7. Never heard of "2nd Start" ? (have you ever driven a Automatic) Radiotwo
  8. Try setting off in second instead of first Radiotwo ?? As in P:R:1:2:3:D Select 2
  9. Try setting off in second instead of first Radiotwo
  10. Please Keep Christmas in December ! Some of us have not had Birthdays yet(two children, Brother & sister inlaw, and Mother inlaw) Radiotwo
  11. Hello Bigjeeze, The death penalty is not a deterent to crime, it has never worked and never will. Bring back the death penalty, and I bet you the Murders,Rapes, Etc will drop off, and of course the prisons will become empty, and the last but not least, It will save some TAX Radiotwo
  12. Hi MJR I was there on Friday, not many customers though Radiotwo
  13. Johnny And don't forget to tell the Insurance about all the Mods Radiotwo
  14. Hi Teacake I think you will have to give more info: Have you turned the cruse control on! have you got your foot on the break when you turn it on? checked any fuses? re the break shudder I assume you had the problem before you changed the disc's and pads? have yuu got the disc's on streight how hard are you breaking to get the shudder? just some questions? Radiotwo
  15. Am I not missing the point ! If your Air-con is not working (no Gas) then there is no presure in the system and the clutch on the compresser won't pull in, and so yes the pulley will turn but the compresser won't. Radiotwo
  16. I thought you were joking for a min, as I said in my last post, the colurs denote the wattage and the voltage I cannot tell you all the ratings, but Light green is 12V 2Watts (as I have two here) I was sold some, and they were very dim,and turned out to be 24 Volt lamps. Radiotwo
  17. Thats quite funny, at first I thought you were being serious!! Radiotwo
  18. Partly correct... The colour denotes the rated life of the bulb - IIRC orange is 5000 hr rated as opposed to blue 1000 hr. Orange ones are slightly dimmer because they are underun. Thats not quite correct, the colour denotes the wattage and the Voltage, if you put a 24v lamp in a 12 volt system, the lamp will be dimmer(and of course last longer) Radiotwo
  19. I can't help to say why it "blows" again but it it only worked for three weeks then I should take it back for a repacement or refund Radiotwo
  20. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW ! IT MAKES NO DIFFRENCE RED OR WHITE, ITS ALL THE SAME WITH A DYE. BUT AS FOR PERORMANCE ETC IT WON'T HARM THE CAR THE ONLY HARM IS YOUR POCKET IF YOU GET CAUGHT USING IT ON THE PUBLIC ROAD RADIOTWO
  21. First things first! I see from the list that the sixth one down is 96 mts from 20mph !! I think that should read 70mph !! But to get to the point, I wonder if you have done these test your self? I cannot see how it can take 20% more with a caravan on the hook, as when you are towing you have brakes on the caravan and these are more efficient than car brakes, so when you try and pull up with a van on the hook, you should pull up quicker, and if you have a twin axel the even more so. I have a 3500GVW trailer and when I have that on the back, I can pull up a lot quicker than solo So if when you are calculating your stopping distances, I sugest you get your brakes sorted ! Radiotwo
  22. I think you have answered your own post: NO INTERFACE FOUND Means no dongle ! Radiotwo
