Sorry MO4 it resets to default values when ignition is switched off. The intermittant wipe on the Gal is the best idea ive seen, same as my deceased Fiesta, when screen needs wiping switch it back on and you have perfect setting. Clever these Ford fellas

Clutch & Flywheel - Shall I Change It Myself?
MadBaz replied to Mounis's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Its possible but it could end in tears, whilst manouvering gearbox out. I held my engine with hoist and lowered gbox with trolley jack, then I switched when replacing gbox. and when gbox was bolted on the lot was supported by hoist which gave me the manouverability for re-attaching mounting etc. Hoists are available from most tool hire places, I paid 50 quid inc vat for the week inc del & pick-up, would have been about 30 quid but I got rained off. One thing I didn't have to do is drop the cross member as it says you have to on TIS and in Haynes. -

MadBaz replied to roly1977's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I changed mine last week, on the road!!! defo a job for a garage, just make sure they replace what their supposed to, drive shaft bolts, drive shaft seals, etc. Local garage quoted me -

Welcome Bassman, I had a similar prob with acceleration, although mine didn't misfire, very sluggish though, I changed fuel filter and no more probs. (you should have seen the **** that came out of it). As for the brake judder, I'm afraid I can't help, the only time I've felt something similar is when ABS activates, that was on my old Scorpio :D , don't have such luxuries on the Gal :D .

Thanks guys, I'll defo try impact method, its an allen bolt thats as smooth on the inside as a maf. Definately a cowboy has had a go at this motor b4 I got it. Clutch was changed 3 Months before I got it but slave cylinder wasn't done which is why I'm taking it apart. Drive shaft bolts were only a little more than hand tight and they look like originals. the lower balljoint is also rounded(where the torx bit goes in) :) this isn't my doing. If I had the readies at the mo I'd get a mk2 and offer this motor free for spares. It's a shame I didn't try and take up some problems with VOSA and challenge the MOT certificate and garage that did the shoddy repair work and MOT as previous owner didn't have a clue, like having 3x firestone f590 195/65/15 91t non-reinforced tyres fitted and seriously dodgy track rod ends, Previous owner was charged

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this b@$7@rd allen bolt off ( the one on the top right)<_< tried wd40, blowlamp, bigger hammer and an allen key, not in that order. I dont want to drill, otherwise i may be looking at new hub carrier.

Window Tinting Help Needed Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
MadBaz replied to a topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
The front windows are usually tinted in manufafacture (the markings in the bottom corner would say tinted), this is the legal maximum! Should you have an accident your fault or not, you will be at fault and probably find yourself un-insured. I found this out cos I wanted to put a light tint on the front, I'm sure your insurance co will say the same. -
The way I see it, and I know I'm probably outspoken, if they want to live here and be accepted by the majority of the community the the niqab should be removed. For those reading this please look here: niqab resource About 18 years ago I went with a group to Dubai, cycling, some of the women in our group were whipped outside the airport because they'ed arrived wearing lycra shorts. They can't have it all there way, and everywhere, surely. As for the teaching assistant who was suspended, I could hardly understand her on TV last night let alone a group of raucous children. Just my point of view.

Greg is a foster parent, A little boy was asked at court if he wanted to live with his mum, he said no, she beats me. He was then asked if he wanted to live with his dad, he said no, he beats me. The judge asked who he wanted to live with, to which he replied, I want to live with the aston villa supporter cos they never beat anybody.
