Mr T i might be wrong :D (i usally am :27: ) but i don't think remapping 115 bhp to 150bhp (i think thats the general consensus on a 115 remap) makes the car go faster top end it just gets you to the top end a lot quicker :( i hope that is as clear to you as it is to me :D :P :D

my mate hs borrowed me his navman 635icn it has a sd card with gb on it but no other maps , he does however have 3 discs with most of western europe on them , i need to get a map of france loaded , i have purchased a blank sd card and just need some info on how to load map to card :lol: :lol: just be mindful i'm a bit pc thick :wub: so if anyone with similar sat nav can help i would be very grateful as i don't want to think i'm in france but am actually in northern finland :13: :wub:

Sorry to bump an old post....raymac,try a generous squirt of WD40 around the spindle (prise up the plastic cover over the spindle end) whilst wiper is on. It cured my sticky wiper sweep. May need to do it every copule of months. ok thanks for that will give it a blast ;)

Not to sure about the tuning box bit, i thought the whole idea of remap was so it couldn't be detected if so wished :lol:

Fitted one of those to my passat 110bhp which are renowned for a terrible flat spot , it cured the flat spot and increased the bhp and fuel economy but after 4mths it jacked up and the car kept dieing whilst driving it's all about choice but having read the ecu remap reports that is the way i'll go in the fiture. :unsure:

jkspoff just looked on e-bay and have found a place in yorkshire who travel but are doing a buy it now price for vw pd engines for

Mr T what i was trying to say was that the aircon man told me once the temp from vents was cool/cold then switch to recirc as it is easier for the system to cool air already cool than having to cool down air from outside that is hot and would make the systems work a lot easier :blink:

Depends how much you got them insured for :blink: joking apart cut corners and you won't be able to take them :lol:

Cheers seatkid , so after the recirc has cancelled itself give it a few mins of outside air then on with the recirc again :wacko: just thinking that anyway of making the compressor /system work under a lighter load must be beneficial to the life of the system or are they just $hi** full stop :wacko:

Congrats on the payout but more importantly you and yours are safe but it must have scared the beejayus out of you, as i am off to france and am going to be doing in the region of 1500/2000 miles i will have a good luck at the tyres wheels before i go, thanks also to all for tyre pressures :wacko:

Can someone let me know once you have cold air coming in is it better then to leave the recirc on as you are recirculating already cool air which must be beneficial to the system as it does not have to cool down hot air being drawn in, i was told to do this by the aircon people who done my condenser/drier the other week :wacko:
