  1. Thanks Neil  i think i have made a right bollocks :P of explaining this, right it does the the correct cycle when i use the rear washer but when i leace the rear wiper on intermittent it will go from one side to the other side in one movement on the return sweep it will make 2or 3 stuttered movements instead of a whole continuous movement ;) is that better
  2. Picked up today after cambelt change and everything seems fine they even do a visual check and give you a report all as part of the service  the total price with my ford employee discount was
  3. When i use rear washer/wiper the wiper will do four or five continous sweeps from side to side but when it is left on intermittent it will do full sweep but then on return sweep it will stop and start until back to starting position then the process continues but ocassionally it will do the sweep to and fro as it should  any ideas peeps  i'm a bit baffled ;)
  4. Depends how much it will cost you in the long run as opposed to one that is mint and a few quid dearer
  5. From what i have read on here about frauds and aircon/cc i would be inclined to find a speacilist in car aircon and let them service and regas as they could probally do it blindfolded where as it sounds that how most fraud dealers do it anyway
  6. Sounds like a bag of shiiite  to me and if you have to re-rivet the struts to the box then i reckon they will not be as strong as they should be as you will neeed to re-rivet somewhere pretty close to where they were orignally fixed and that would probally make that area of the roofbox weak, also it has been at the bottom of the garden so it has been exposed to all sorts of weather for prolonged periods of time and there are no keys for the locks  doesn't have a lot going for it does it, i think you will find something a lot better out there ;)
  7. Went into granby avenue today to purchase my cambelt parts and aux belt as it is cheaper for me as i get a discount being a ford employee they are fitting said parts tomorrow and if the workshop work to the same standard as the parts and service depts then i have no need to worry they where very very helpful and treated me like a king :D on top of that my discount was very impressive on the parts cambelt, tensioner kit and aux drive belt
  8. looking around for tyres and came across this site that do tyres delivered to your door or delivered and fitted at a tyre fitters nearest to you if on there list , spoke to them and mentioned the forum and asked to see if they would do us a special discount and they offered to give anyone from here who qouted GALAXY on line or over the phone when ordering. some of you might be interested. Hi Ray My colleague Paul mentioned that you are a member of a Galaxy owners forum, and were looking for a discount code that members on the forum could use. This is no problem to set the code up, and if you enter the code GALAXY at the payment stage or over the phone to one of our sales team then you will receive 5% off your tyres. If you would be able to post this discount code on the forum for other members to use then I would be very grateful, as it will hopefully save your members some money which is always welcomed! Many thanks, Susan Jamie Blackcircles.com Cavalry Park Kings Meadows Road Peebles EH45 9BU www.blackcircles.com t 01721 723 805 f 01721 729 257 t 0845 200 0022 Here is another one but these only deliver  are these good prices? as only having gal for 2 days and not needing tyres i am unsure, you veterans will know  http://www.camskill.co.uk/index.php

  13. A bit of info regarding blip and non blip keys please :( if i lock the gal with the non blip key is the alarm system armed to the same degree as if locked with the remote blip key :( the reason i ask is that my manager at work (land rover) reckons that the range rover when locked with the key and not the remote is not fully armed and i was just wondering if the same applies to the galaxy or is the blip key just for opening and closing al doors and tailgate
  14. I would personally be inclined to try and find a highish miler with fsh being sold by a trader so if you have any probs you at least have some sort of warranty with private once you have bought it thats it period :( The second one on matts post under not bad is a decent price if it is good nick well worth a look if it's not to far away.
  15. How much did you save ?and where are they situated ? handy to know espcially if they are local or mobile. ;)
  16. Thanks very much Steve , i will drop him a mail later and will let you know how i got on :D
  17. how much is cheap and was it a non blip key you bought and if so do they come witj transponder in and then you programm yourself :D sorry to be a pain in the arse :D :D
  18. Ok can someone put me straight here please, i pick up my galaxy on sat , it has 1 programmed blip key and a ordinairy cut key, will the car start with the ordinairy non blip key or is it just a emergency back up for entrance if you lose the other key :D thanks :D
  19. I think if it is a rear ender then the person who shunted you up the back end:huh: :( is at fault as they were to close to you in the first place ,but having said that you would be better off with a witness
  20. Cheers for that mate, i have found out tonight that if you have a friend or relative who work for bt you can get a service done at one of there workshops with a discount if you have there relevant info, as my cousin works for them i will look into this next yaer when my service is due and see how i go on  i will take your advice and give moseley and shirley branches a miss.
  21. ok cheers for that
  22. on a 2001 ghia are they situated on the same side of the panel or should one of them have the parking sensor sensor switch beneath it ? the reason i ask is the galaxy i,m picking up on sat has the heated screen switches on the same side of the panel but i,m sure i have seen pictures on autotrader where the switches are situated in different places, if they are on the same side and shouldn't be do you think the dash could have been out previously for the aircon prob? just curious as if they are not situated correctly i can ask the relevant questions  or am i just talking rollocks :D :D
  23. Can anyone recommend one to me as i have just purchased my first galaxy and would like to know of a decent repair shop should i need it
