A little off topic but am wanting to know what a cat C means as am looking at a car that has cat C damage

Well i wont claim i'll just get the parts and get the car sorted without an insurance claim

yeah he's a named driver on the policy can i claim on his insurance he has with the company without it affecting my insurance?

I own the car my names on the V5 and insurance.... We bought the car when we were together 5 years ago and when i started to drive he handed it over cause he handn't driven it for a year cause he had a company vechile Well anyway i got a wing for

the bumper will live and the wing mirror can be salvaged but the wing in bad ;) and the indicator cover is smashed and the things sticking out am gonna go for a wing on ebay that ends tomorrow no ones bidded on it so far so might get it at a reasonable price not the right colour but beggers cant be choosers can always get it sprayed at a later date :lol:

Yip more than likely the ABS ring on the cv joint has snapped well thats what was wrong with mines :lol: changed the cv joint took it a wee run and hey presto the ABS light went out sorted!!

Believe me i won't let it lie but i need to get the car back on the road :lol: I got upset when i seen it I love that car and he hurt it he will pay!!!!

He says he cant pay :lol: so here i am phoning around breakers trying to find a wing and not being very sucessful out of the 30 breakers i've called only 2 so far have had a galaxy breaking and both have front damage so there no good!!! managed to get a new indicator from ebay for

I'll call him when the steam stops coming out my ears!! this isnt gonna be cheap he better have a big wallet :(

well he says it was a post in a car park am too angry to really speak to him to find out much else. It took me a few months and a fare bit of money to get it fit to drive after i took ownership from him he didnt even tell me the kids did!!

My ex partner borrowed my car yesterday and when i got it back he'd had as he called it " a wee bump" I need a new n/s wing indicator front bumper and wing mirror I just feel like cryin now :(

My starter motor does the exact same thing :lol: but i just put up with it mines has had a new starter motor fitted for the exact same problem but it came back after a while so am just gonna put up with it -_-

Aww :D am sorry to here it didn't solve the problem fingers crossed you only need to replace the A/C clutch

<_< could it!!only had the PDa since Saturday and lost the pen already!

We tried to source the bearing from an actual bearing company in glasgow he said it was an odd size, but we did find a website that said they could supply one from japan when given the serial number off the bearing in the end my partner just took it into work and knocked it out packed the bearing with grease and put it back in and fingers crossed its been silent ever since, my partner says it came out without too much hassle a bit of elbow grease and a hammer required :angry:

well that would seem alot easier than pulling the car apart :angry:

Hello there, well in the car last night that silly man of mines put the pen for the PDA in the space behind the wheel an the dials ( you know where it tells you all that technical stuff) well anyway the pen fell down the small gap between the plastic in front of the dails and the steering wheel cover!! Now what i want to know is it possible just to take the plastic of the steering wheel cover of to retieve then pen or is it too big a job for such a small item??

Hi we had the same problem with the bearing in A/C pump and we couldn't replace the bearing because it was an odd size well anyway what we did was have the bearing knocked out my partner packed it with grease and put it back in it stopped the squealing its not a long term fix ( ours has been quiet for 6 months) but it could give you time to source a second hand A/C compressor without the earache :angry:
