Thanks mustie I had seen that on ebay but thought too good to be true cause it was so cheap but i just went ahead and bought it am gettin good at buying car parts from ebay :P

I wasn't aware there was already a slight tint in the windows :blink: think this might just be a job for a shop to have it done right i want the back of the car like limo black as someones tried to forced the back window down to get into the car to get at something they fancied i presume :D they didnt get in but if they cant see then theres less likely chance they'll want in

I fancy tinting the windows on my Galaxy just wondering if anyone knew what the law is on this as far as am aware the front driver and and passengers window can only be tinted so far and the windscreen clear and can anyone recomend a kit for doing it :(

only problem i've had with the aircon is the bearing in the pulley and to repair that according to the fraud dealer i had to change the compressor but i was fortunate enough to find a site that supplied me a bearing and that did tha job

Posted a week or so ago about the drivers door on my Galaxy the problem i had was when you locked the door from the drivers door lock and took the key out it unlocked itself as well as the window not working and everything else! Suspected the wiring loom had a break in it as when ya shoogle it you can get the window and the speaker workin :lol: So couple of days ago I took the door panel off and i was havin a wee route about couldnt see anything out of place so closed the door and tried the lock and hey presto it worked but the window didnt :lol: But the lock was workin that would do for now sooooo i put the panel back on and the lock went back to not workin so panel back off and the lock works! the panels been off since and the locks still workin. So am wondering does anyone know if the wiring loom in the door that feeds the speakers and window switch does it control the central lock in the door or do I have 2 seperate problems all together I managed to get a wiring loom for a

If you could that would be really good of you they really should sell these things on there own :/

The ABS censor ring is broken on the drivers wheel fraud dealers only sell it with thwe cv joint for a meer

wondering if anyone can shed some light on the ABS light on the dashboard since puttin this car back on the road it has been on constant changed the front brake discs and pads today going to change the rear too even though there not really needing done but this light is a mystery to me and ideas would be appreicated????

Any idea if the wiring loom is easy to fit??

Drivers doors been causin me a few probs mosy obvious was the door lock not workin properly ( unlocks itself when you take the key out the lock ) and the window wouldn't go down took the door panel off to see about the window as its not good for drive through :) and the multi plug seemed to be loose sorted that and hey presto the window went up and down again ...... that was short lived had it down today and it wouldnt go back up! so door panel off again and i realised that the speaker on the door didnt work either so am now thinking it could be the wiring loom ???? as when ya shoogle it aboot a bit it works managed to get the window back up doing that . Just wondering peeps if that could cause the problem with the lock as well???? :)

The locks not stiff or anything it just wont let me lock it from drivers side or if i lock it it just unlocks by itself :lol:

Hello looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction Havin a problem locking the drivers door put the key in turn it to lock it turn the key back to take key out and it unlocks the doors again or if an lucky enough to key the key out without it unlocking if you try to open the door with the handle it unlocks all the doors again ...... I can lock the car ok from the passenger side just not the drivers door anyone?????? oh and the engines makin the big whir noise when your start it only lasts a second anyone know what that is either??? ( can just tell am not a car person lol)

Yeah its just the pulley managed to get it off meself but been unable to source the right size bearing to fit it so thanks i just couldn't afford to pay for the work to be done right now and i want to get it through an MOT as soon as possible :ph34r:

Its defo the pulley on the compressor and as far as am aware this part isn't servicable and has to be replaced ;)

the stupid thing is the A/C is working its just that the bearing has gone am defo thats what it is am so annoyed!

It's a 1997 ® 2.3 16v Ghiax and i just found out i have automatic A/C so am gonna have to go consider going through the expensive replacing of the compressor A/C clutch and what ever else ;) oh well suppose its for the best in the long run and i really didnt pay much for the car now i know why!!

Well an independant garage has told me that its the air conditioning compressor clutch assembly pulley thats makin the noise (kinda rattling noise like the bearings gone) but according to the rip off merchants also known as my local ford dealership say the whole lots gotta be replaced the clutch assembly itself is

Became the proud owner of me lovely ford galaxy just 4 days ago and today my little heart got broken :D Strange noise coming from car which i know know to be the A/c compressor which am told has to be replaced the weird thing is the previous owner didnt even know it had air conditioning!! either way am in for a big bill :D
