I suspect my air con needs re-gassing but am havin probs finding and one in my area that does it ..... So is there anyone in the glasgow area that can suggest anyone??????

When the car had its MOT the advisory recommended that the shockers need replacing so before i have a problem with them am wanting to replace them...... What i want to know is if antone would have an idea how much this is gonna cost to replace both ???? Oh and its a 1997 2.3

our 1997 Galaxy has been with us 5 years and to be honest although i've had a few problem none of them have been major shes never let us down engine wise and the most a garage bill has cost us so far is

I'll just pull the carpet out she only gets used weekends anyway might as well do it right !

It is a mk 1 and it does have heated seats oh well suppose i'll just need to wait and see what doesn't work wont i in the mean time i'll just need to try and get rid of the wet dog smell that now lingers :wacko:

Aha! The drivers side sunroof drain was blocked but am wondering if this would really let in this amount of water and the compartment under the drivers seat was filled too i've dried it of for the moment and i suppose i really need to wait till the next lot of rain comes in :D and can anyone shed some light into what the wires under the drivers seat are as they were submerged :wacko:

Thanks JDF I will try that tomorrow and hopefully its sorts the problem as I want to sell her soon to make way for 2 smaller cars and I can't sell her on if shes letting in water as a horrid ford dealer done this to us once when he sold us a ford escort that let in more water than it kept out! :D

Ah funny you should say that cause when in the car monday night a small amount of water came out the clock area on the roof so the sunroof is the likely culprate there was a slight wet patch on the roof at the A post just behind the drivers seat is this an easy job?????

Hello peeps been a while since i've been here but am hoping you'll still help me :D Had a really heavy lot of rain the last few days ( nothing new in scotland ) and when getting into the car tuesday morning the Gal had decided that she wants to be an indoor swimming pool the drivers footwell was filled with water I want to try and get this sorted before and damage is done as i've only just managed to get her to pass the MOT!!!

Right here I go again got yet another problem with the bag of bolts ( still not sorted out most of the other stuff!) Ok got a new remote key Went with what the galaxy handbook tells us to do and yet the thing aint working they key is working ok just not remotely any ideas anyone??? :angry:

Well were told it has an alarm :) the door light flashes away when its locked :) its going back in to get the stuff done for the MOT tomorrow i'll get them to have a look at it this cars begining to get on my nerves I've been given a bag of bolts!!!

the cars a 1997 tried lockin the kids in and everything and still nothin maybe it just dont work :o its had one of the windows put a brick through and it didnt go off someones tried to force one of the windows down and it didnt go off lol i want it to go of if someone looks at it the wrong way!

the car has sensors inside one at the front one at the back still can't get it to go off though :D

tried that the then put my hand in and tried to open the door i can open the door but the car stays silent :D

Anyone know how to test the alarm system on a mrk 1 Galaxy am not sure mines works or if it does I wanna know what it sounds like!

I bought the one for my model i'll replace one then do the other one later on although the car only failed on 3 things for the MOT the mechanic has said one of the rear shockers needs attention and the back box of the exhaust i plan to do them as i go along the other shockers is just summit else to add to the list :( And has anyone replaced the coil springs before?? is it an easy job?? i have the compressors for the spring so is it a job for the partner who has a not too bad knowledge of cars or is it back to the rip off merchants with it??
