Hi all does any one have a mk1 gal where the rear wiper over travel's i.e wipes some of the paintwork too only about 20mm over the paintwork but still is this a joint that needs replaced or is it a switch that says how far the wiper travels its the start stop side that does it, as the other end of the wipe is about 10-15mm off edge of glass so that is ok any ideas would be great thanks Alan.

Noise From Front Drivers Side
a18nkd replied to michael8168's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Is it not the pads rubbing the disk go for a easy drive stop and feel the wheel is it hot (watch out it might be really hot tho) have you jacked the front end up and spin the left wheel separate from the right you usually find this if the bearing is goosed also try wobbling each wheel top/bottom and side to side failing that i'd take it to a garage see if they can tell you whats up with it -

Replacing Near Side Door Mirror
a18nkd replied to minerva49's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
the Haynes manual should explain all this I think the door cards pull off and up (make sure that any screws i.e door handle are out first) also the door opener pops off you just replace the yellow fixings on the back hope this helps -
Noise From Front Drivers Side
a18nkd replied to michael8168's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
if you only get the noise when you turn then try power steering pump or steering rack try a few things like turning while parked up do you still get the noise if not its only when drive train is in motion try putting the front end on axel stands turn both ways do you still get noise try the engine running while on axel stands you may be able to pinpoint the noise a bit better try turning wheels by hand while on the axel stands etc -
Problems With My Galaxy
a18nkd replied to javedsaleem's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I would if I was you is to get the car checked out to make sure its not stolen/written off if they have sold a duff one knowing what was wrong with it what else are they hiding the last thing you need is to have the police knock on your door taking the car off you and if the original problem was not fixed but they were made aware of the problem then they are liable to fix the problem even if the warranty is up as long as they were made aware before the warranty is up -
