  1. do you mean the main fuse feed box steve? if so, replace the the box and the black alternator cable.You must replace them both at the same time or the problem will reoccurr.

Gawd that is the funniest one yet ive read :D Considering i HAVE a Vauxhall, might be aimed at me :D Rule 8 Dont bother with a membership to the local gym, exercise by taking the seats out and putting them back in again 3 times a day.When you get it down to pat increase to 5 times a day.That gut will soon develop into a nice attractive 6 pack, or for the ladies, you will look like youve never had kids and yer boobs will point out instead of down :rolleyes:

  14. could try a breakers yard? GSF?? Motorcare world??
  15. you must replace the cable from the alt to the fuse box at the same time you change the fuse box., the cable once this happens once, will be faulty and the fuse box will melt again.Be lucky that your alt hasnt gone yet as if you dont replace it, next time it happens the alt may go aswell. As has been said on this thread by myself and others.replace the cable.

  17. air filters you could also get from ford/VW, i was quite surprised when i got mine as it only cost around a tenner from Ford.. Not sure on the oil filter bit.make sure the engine is nice and cold.

  22. Awwww..aint 1 yr olds great fun :lol: you could service the car yourself. Pilot lights, i used to hate the one i had in the last house as everything was just a few mm out and it would take an age to light.   23. oh dear, sounds familiar.this happened to my PC, and the end result is that it totally died, hence a new one was built for me not so long ago.All that ended up working on mine was the fans and an amber light on.Motherboard,processor and everything else went tits up.
  24. Loads of water on the roads here, just got in and on the way home i had a narrow escape after hitting a kerb after aquaplaning and ending up heading towards the other side of the road in rush hour.So yup..a weeeeeeeeeee bit of water wallowing around here at the mo.
