The Aux heater on your model ( probably all Mk1's ) has no communication with the diagnostics system.....this is normal. Therefore you will not see the Aux Heater controller using vagcom or any other diagnostic tool plugged into the vehicle. The good news is that you do not have to worry about resetting it after repetitive flameouts etc. The problem with the rear blower may be caused either by the blower motor itself or its controller/resistor pack. Do you have automatic or manual heating ?

I think the language can be chosen via the menu system. Keep pressing the menu button until you get to the language setting and then change this to eng lish........okay....this may be difficult until you figure out the german for language......suggest using an online translator ( google, or whatever ) on all the mneu options until you find the one for language. First thing you should do is clear the codes to see if they come back. Some may be historical and just record old events. 00792 - A/C Pressure Switch (F129) Low gas pressure.....youre aircon has ( or has had ) a leak.

I always thought the 150ps engine was the BTB one and the ASZ was the 130ps Engine. I would definitly check the engine to make sure that it is a 150ps. PM me your reg if you want a definite answer. I think it a train weight of around 8.5 ton before you worry about tacho's etc ( not 100% on this though ). Obviously all this is subject to usual width and length restrictions and having a b+e license or above.

Not 100% sure on rhe difficulty in changing the Console for a different one....I am sure Mirez can fill you in on this. Cruise control should be relatively simple and a lot of members have done this upgrade, you may need an additional cable though. can you confirm year of model.
