  1. I agree with him on this, remember that tyres are the only part of the vehicle to touch the road ( hopefully ) and all braking steering and suspension is very reliant on them. If in doubt new tyres....a blow out ( especially on the front ) is not very nice.....been there done that....don't wish to do it again.
  2. I'm sorry but where does the we come from .... Please be aware that some of us only have to beat Italy at home to qualify for Europe and are not relying on others to do it for us. Yeh ok, we got stuffed in the rugby a while back...............but that's not the point...........well ok maybe it is.. However you should be aware that there is a multicultural spread of people reading this forum and we are not all English. There are Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Scandanavian, German, French and if the pubs are shut, scousers as well.
  3. Honestly, it may hurt..... one of the most efficient ways to kill an engine is to use additives. I would not advise you to use Redex or any other additive in a diesel engine....if you think about it, without using additives the diesel engines should be good for at least 150,000 to 200,000 miles....do you think they need any cleaning or other enhancements ? These additives have been around for decades and have never done any good ( usually done harm ) to standard road vehicles. Trust me on this, don't use them. If you want improved performance buy a V6. All the best Kev
  4. Normally the sensor is on the gearbox, probably at the front. Should be obvious as there will not be any other electrical connections to the gearbox. The above only applies to the manual gearboxes.....autos are different.
  5. Er ?....shouldn't that be Scotland ? I would rather have a good massage !
  6. Sorry.....couldn't help myslef. Molegrips will do it.......or extreme brute force.

EGR was introduced well before the "global warming" myth started. However the amount of recycling ( typicaly 10% ) is negligible and won't make a difference one way or another....bit like Catalytic Convertors....waste of time.
  8. Eh !.......premium/standard.....you have a diesel ?
  9. Not a lot at the moment with my bad back !

  13. Redex........Snake Oil..... :16:
  14. My money would be on the serial port being 5 or above.....certainly won't be 2 !
  15. Driver B is to blame... Highway code states only overtake when safe to do so... Having a f**kwit in front of you is not a safe situation to overtake....ignorance is not an excuse. Identifying f***wits......BMW or Mercedes Logo's.....or driving south of the Watford Gap. Also if car B has a collision with a car coming the other way then he deserves to be prosecuted. Basic rule of driving....only listing the first three for simplicity. 1: Do not hit oncoming traffic....hit other traffic if necessary 2: Do not hit oncoming traffic....leave road if necessary 3: Do not hit oncoming traffic....take out pedestrians if necessary Failing rule 1: , 2; or 3: would automatically quality you as a bad driver and you would deserve everything you got thrown at you.

  24. The earlier discussions were related to the light working or not........do a search for 11463 ....has been posted several times. This current topic question relates to the light not working correctly....eg it comes on with the on/off switch rather than with the set/resume button.
