  1. Hi Gareth, Lurkers are welcome ! Hope you find what you are after.
  2. It could be one of many things ( unlikely to be the turbo as it wouldn't reset ). First thought would be a possible pedal problem.....faulty/sticky Brake/Clutch switch or throttle pot. problem. Although it could be several other things, mostly electrical.
  3. Go Here www.vagcat.com you will have to register ( Free ) click on GO TO CATALOG look at the VW Sharan May help for other parts as well
  4. Hi Bodiee, and welcome. Nice pictures.
  5. Hopefully your wiper linkage will still have the part number on it. Only way to be sure ! However these pics might help I would still check the numbers on the existing one to be sure.
  6. Something is stiff ( possibly one of the bearings ) ?
  7. The leads are readily available on ebay and usually come with the software. http ://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...m=380131867744 There are hundreds of others, just search for vagcom. Also try here for the free software and further information. http://www.ross-tech.com/
  8. Check them carefully there may be more .....sometimes they are not obvious
  9. Is the fuel cut off valve powered up ?
  10. What's the gpm like ? Sorry I meant mpg......or did I ?
  11. You could try Fuse 35 ( top left in fuse box) or Fuses, 76,77 &78 ( under drivers seat ). Depends on your build date.
  12. The steering wheel is on the wrong side
  13. Hi Carl, Sounds Turbo-ish to me.......however hopefully one of the MK3 guys will confirm this ( or not). Can one of the Mods pop this into the MK3 section, ta
  14. You would be better off with VagCom see http://www.ross-tech.com/ The basic software is free ( does most things ) and the leads are always on Ebay. You will need a Laptop ( older the better ) or a long lead for your pc . Cheaper and much better than standalone OBDII readers. Your fault could be a number of things....faulty or sticky brake switch or a dodgy relay are the favourites. However there are dozens of others that affect the engine management as well.
  15. Don't know. I would advise taking your old ( ok newer ! ) ones with you to check if the the mountings and fasteners are the same. Obviously a 3-point belt wont exist in the rear centre of a Mk1( you may not have one anyway ). Come back and let us all know......unless someone else beats you to it. Pics would be nice if they are different.
  16. Hi Tez, and welcome. First can you let us know what model you have ( for example 1.9L tdi Ghia Manual ).
  17. Waste of money....don't work in the real world. If you have a leak in your old banger ( same as mine ) then it is likely to be something more serious.
  18. You could sell them to one of the MK3 owners as "get you home spares". At least they would fit in the back ! :D
  19. Good point....well stated. Nah !
  20. Personally I would just shoot everyone south of the Watford Gap.. :D
  21. G..ood L..eather O..ffers V..ery E..xcellent S..afety Don't you think ?
  22. Good point....assumed it was cruise control.....I know assumptions are dangerous.. :D Er,...No.....I have Grandchildren now :D
  23. I think the going rate is about
  24. 3=cc given up the ghost...... If you have a diesel its most probably the brake or clutch switch sticking or faulty....cc on diesels is easy to fix. 4=fill up the brake fliud .......your wife/girlfriend will most likely have small hands and may wish to help you...or failing that a small boy ( whichever is easiest to instruct) 5=squealing heater motor..... Rip out glove box and have a look....easy peasy 6=squealing belt under bonnet (in rain only)... That's because most likely either your undershield is missing or your cover from your towing eye is missing......don't worry it will stop squealing soon..... This needs looking at now !
  25. Hasn't he got small girlie feet in that 3rd picture ......
