  1. You been reading my dreams then
  2. What nonsense BK! Mine have handles on both the inside and the outside.....this is not a design flaw ! It is for a reason..... You open the door with the inside handle and get out and close the door. You open the door with the outside handle and get in and close the door. Mine also have windows and therefore there is no need to leave the door open.
  3. B.o.l.l.o.c.k.s.! B) (Been waiting a long time to say that......hehe) D.o.u.b.l.e....B.o.l.l.o.c.k.s.! B)
  4. Sounds about right !
  5. If you can get it done cheaply enough, there doesn't seem to be much else wrong with it. Cheeky Git ! ....mines an R reg as well.
  6. No ordinary vehicle will stand up to a good gust of wind catching the door. If the wind and conditions are just right ALL car doors are capable of travelling well past the stop point and damaging the hinges and side of the vehicle. Obviously the bigger the door the greater the leverage. I think Ford would see this as damage caused through carelessness. The door are designed to be held when open.
  7. When you changed the battery the PAT's ( immobiliser ) chip fell out of your key. You need to find this !
  8. You don't seem to have any difficulty .....only took you seven months with this one.
  9. Could be.....see how long the new one lasts B)
  10. Don't apologise you are quite correct !
  11. Changing a cambelt incorrectly kills more than not changing it ?
  12. Ask the sellers on ebay if it will work with your car.
  13. My money is on the brake switch ( could be something else though ;) ). Should be easily diagnosed with Vagcom or similar.
  14. Give it 4 months max before you break it ;)
  15. ELSAWIN for seat apparently dealers haynes with schematics wiring diagrams and much more
  16. Stop buying the redex snake oil and invest your money in a vagcom lead from ebay. Download the free software and see what the faults are. It is almost certainly some trivial easily repaired electrical fault that is upsetting the Engines ECU.
  17. Mine has manual air con. Rear has not been in use during this problem. Remove the glovebox and disconnect the lead to the resistor pack and see if the fuse blows. If not then reconnect the resistor pack and disconnect the blower fan. If the fuse blows its the resistor pack, if not its the fan.
  18. The correct way to do it would be to disconnect the driveshaft. However the post showed an alternative.
  19. This link below may help you http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=12582
  20. Usually its just a blown fuse....depending on your year/model it could be in the fusebox or hidden under the drivers seat. Would help if you could confirm which sockets are working and your year/model.
  21. I think fuse 34 feeds either the front ( or rear ) blower motor. Do you have manual aircon (with a dial for the fan speed ) or fully automatic. Most likely it is either the resistor pack/hedgehog depending on your air-con type. Also could either be front or rear.
  22. Make sure you leave the drivers seat in........then you could get in and double that.. :P
  23. No The new battery you have should be ok for the V6, possibly nearer the bottom end but should be fine. Depending on who you speak to anywhere between 60Ah and 70Ah and I wouldn't worrry about Cold Cranking Current with a Petrol Engine. I would worry more why your original battery went flat as this may indicate a charging problem.
  24. Yeh !..... in her dreams :16: Or would that be nightmares :32:
