A guy is in a queue at the supermarket when he notices that the rather dishy blonde behind him has just raised her hand and smiled hello to him. He is rather taken aback that such a looker would be waving to him, and, although familiar, he can't place where he might know her from, so he says "sorry, do you know me?" She replies " I maybe mistaken, but I thought you might be the father of one of my children". His mind shoots back to the one and only time he had been unfaithful. "Christ" he says. "Are you that stripogram on my stag night that I shagged on the snooker table in front of all my mates whilst your mate whipped me with some wet celery and stuck a cucumber up my a*se? "No" she replies, "I'm your son's English teacher."

Heated Screens & Tom Tom's

you can get external aerials for most sat nav units. I found that with an internal antenna i would get about 5 satellites, both on my TomTom PDA System and Autoroute 2006 Laptop GPS System which works fine, however i found when in central london due to the density and height of the buildings i was losing the signal which caused me to get horribly lost!!! I have permenantly installed an external gps aerial on the roof and now pick up 10,11 and sometimes 12 satellites which makes the system much more accurate and works great even in central london. -

As mentioned it will be well worth getting all of the rear suspension components checked by a reputable garage (if any actually exist!! ;) ) it is unfortunately starting to sound like it may be accident damage, get it HPI checked but this isn't a sure way of knowing if it has been damaged and repaired as they sometimes go unrecorded. Hopefully someone will come up with another explanation for your problem.

The ebay item above is OK. The MK2 Keys are Laser Cut so you will need to find somewhere that can do this and also the transponder ID needs to be programmed into the car

does it only happen when its been parked on a slope?? could be a problem with fuel reaching the engine, The revving makes the fuel pump go faster so supplies more fuel hence the problem goes away. the ticking is the metering pump for the aux heater and they all seem to tick so i assume this is normal.

defiantely sounds like thermostat issue, mine acted like this as the dealer forgot to put the thermostat back in!!

i have had similar problems with a lost/damaged locking nut/bolt keys on several of the cars i have owned. I find if you whack a slightly smaller socket on the locking nut than the nut/bolt itself with a club hammer and then undo it. Some of them have a spinning outer ring to try and prevent this but just destroy that with a flat blade screwdriver and above mentioned hammer before applying the socket. works every time ;)

Technical Section (galaxy)

i think more likely is a problem with the latch mechanism on the door, something is either worn or broken which is causing the door to release a bit. maybe vibration or when you go over a large bump. A replacement shouldn't be too much from a breakers yard. use a bungee between the handle and the seat frame to hold it to give you peace of mind that it wont fly open until you get it fixed. -
Mo4, On the TIS look at the section called TSB's (technical service bulletins) This will show you all of the problems ford are fully aware of and it provides the necessary fixes to rectify them.

sounds familiar and is exactly what happened to mine water pump failure, which caused overheating which has caused distortion of the head. It doesn't take much overheating to damage this type of cylinder head, apparently you cannot get these heads skimmed either cost me about

Diesel - Run On Water Pump?
dave_m replied to Bigjeeze's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
it may not be as simple as a bad connection as mine would work again for a bit if you tapped it or twisted it a bit bcause it would move the brushes in the motor enough to make contact again. I think gazza007 also has this on his one. keep your eye on it as 90k seems to be about the life of the pump as thats when mine started playing up -
my parking sensors sometimes play up i have a towbar, i was led to believe the system is self learning i.e it adapts to the fact a towbar is fitted. when the towbar was first fitted i had all sorts of problems but they sorted themselves out I have an fault with one of the sensors which is intermittent and causes the error tone. VAG COM brings this up as a fault code.

if there is a problem with a part the ECU can limit the performance of the engine to prevent any damage, What exact model and year of galaxy do you have??
