  2. Fotr Information Purposes- New Accelerator Pedal Assembly Part number:1208543
  3. try these links :o http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...ic=5437&hl=mute I think its the purple wire (called the gala wire) for the speed sensing (pulse wire) thanks to the people who supplied the information in the above posts Hope it helps
  4. thanks for the replies guys, I don't think the clutch replacement has anything to do with it as it did do it once or twice before the clutch was replaced, I have checked the multi plug and when unlugged, car shows the same symptoms and the same DTC is logged by the PCM. I think i will buy a new one as it is quite dodgy pulling out at a roundabout and then for the revs to drop, had a few hairy moments getting it home last night :o will let you all know how it goes :o regards, Dave
  5. My versions of VAG COM 504.1, 510.0 and latest release 512.4 don't ask for a vehicle. I just click on the OBD-II Button, I am using the Genuine Cable and my software is registered via the dongle on the cable :D
  6. Car is back from having clutch, Concentric Slave and Dual Mass flywheel done. Just come back from milton Keynes and Engine keeps going into limp home mode. (it done this once before the clutch was done so i don't think it is a related problem. No accelleration at all Rev counter just sits above idle. Hooked up VAG Com and was given the following 1 Fault Found: 18047- Acelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal P1639- 35-00 intermittent. I assume this is the sensor on the pedal itself??? any ideas on how much a replacement is or has anyone had any experience of a similar problem?? This car is costing me an absolute fortune.........
  7. VAG-COM it is primarily and fully funcional on VAG (volkswagen audi skoda seat) cars although apparently will read and clear OBD2 data from any vehicle. Available Here Works a treat on the zafira, my misses' dad was well impressed
  8. i need a holiday to recover from the shock...............
  9. Just been given some bad news, In addition to the dead clutch the Dual Mass Flywheel is also screwed, thats what finished the clutch off.... New total to pay
  10. Just a bit of useful info... VAG-COM will read and clear DTC codes from any vehicle which is OBD2 Compliant. I used mine today to clear a DTC from an X Plate Vauxhall Zafira. Just makes it even more useful and value for money. :D
  11. right, I have been quoted
  12. Check this post out :D http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...topic=7510&st=0 Hope this helps.
  13. i could do with a 2001 1.9 tdi Sharan Vin, it will only be used for Elsawin and no other purpose, if anyone can help  Also does anyone know the gearbox code for a six speed manual box?
  14. thanks mo4 but mine is a manual so that topic does not apply, but thanks for trying to help.
  15. just fill in vehicle details VW sharan and year and you should be ok on the workshop manuals side of things. Certain parts you actually need a VW VIN No for, such as the Technical solutions etc.
  16. no one has had clutch problems then??
  17. My car has developed a serious problem and has had to be towed back by the AA. They have suggested that either the Dual Mass flywheel or the clutch has gone....... The symptoms are as follows if anyone has had simialr problems and can point me in the right direction i would be grateful. Car has done 101750 miles, on original clutch I drove from Luton to Milton Keynes no problem at all parked up for an hour, then when tried to move off again..... Clutch feels slightly different than normal, car still seems to go into gear OK. When I release the clutch there is a rubbing/grinding/squealing (hard to describe noise) kind of like something is slipping  in all gears including reverse Car does move once clutch has engaged. Anyone have any ideas and what needs doing..... and how much  i can expect to pay (i know it won't be cheap :( ) Also the name of a tried trusted repairer/company in the Luton area would be helpful. thanks in advance. 18. could be water has got to the reversing sensor control unit, which I believe are under the front seat causing a fault????
  19. Intapart is in Daventry, they deal with most newer cars so definately give them a try. Probably won't be cheap though.
  20. it is tricky to install. I got full instructions which you have to follow to the letter. I could not install it on my home pc but managed it on my laptop
  21. This one is by the same guy!!! Look what it does to a penny.............................
