I had the same issue. I just put a permanent link across the switch - job done!
-
Sorry to tell you that they don't open, they are fixed. In later builds they operate electrically with switches installed. Yours, and mine, don't have the switches.

Do you know of anywhere to look up a list of TSB's and.or recalls?
-
Erm :) Car details are ford galaxy ghia 2.0 tdci 6g its the 140ps model registered 01/12/2006 Common fault - module 16 IIRC.

I hope you get an answer to this one, my mates say the same thing - very poor quality sound!

I have a older Garmin and the solar screen prevented that from working on its areial stick - have to use an external areial off to the side quarter light window. I would guess that the sucker mounted GPS would also suffer, but could you mount it on the quarter light window?

Not sure if this is the right place for this topic? Anyways, parked in Tesco and sure enough some swine put a 5 inch scratch on the passenger door. No dent but looks quite deep, gone through at least 2 coats. Tried a gentle rubbing compound but too deep for that. Anyone got experiance of using Chips Away or the like? Cheers, Nick

Dont know if this helps, but my son's fiesta ST had the esp light on, Ford had to replace the brake fluid trasducer under warranty which cleared the fault. In this case it was annoying but not critical.

Turbo Changed At Last!
Nick replied to familyman's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Yep, its dumped most of the oil in the exhaust system. When my turbo went I had to drive it home some 90 miles - almost 5L of oil thru the exhaust. The garage had to drill some drain holes to help it drain out, then weld them up again. What you describe sounds normal to me. -
Yep just tried and and mine is exactly as you describe. IMO Ford/Sony have really failed to integrate the MP3 side of this unit. I have the convers+ display and they could have easily shown the track list from the MP3 (Sony in my case), bit no, all it shows is AUX, brilliant. And (he say continuing to rant without stopping for breath) why oh why did they stick the MP3 jack in the glove box?! Ah, that's better.

What model gal and what make/size tyres are fitted please?

Alloy Wheel Sizes For Galaxy Mark Iii
Nick replied to richto's topic in Questions about the New MKIII
Sounds good. What wheels/tyres do you have fitted right now? I was considering upping my wheels for lower profile with chrome (would suit the Ghia). -
I can only say both the heating and air con have been 100% on my car. I only have the a/c on when needed, not much of a summer so far in 2008!
-
It's not dramatic that's for sure, but I can 'feel' the difference on mine. Since I paid for this option, I don't see the point in having a 'normal' button  I have mine set to comfort most of the time and sport for lanes and bends. Overall, I like it and was glad I selected the option.
-
Mine does the same, almost un-noticable, but.. this may sound harsh, live with it! The last thing I would want is for some spotty kid let loose on my motor from a Ford dealer offerering work experiance.

You gotta give a little slack to those Volvo owners...

Should I Replace My Mkiii Due To Clutch Problem
Nick replied to dellybeanhead's topic in MKIII Technical section
Is it a mk2 or mk3? Either way some thing is not right, get it checked out - still in warranty?? -
Mine is on when locked. But then again, why would you NOT have the EPB on when you lock and leave the car? Or do you mean the lamp stays on, say, all night? I have the convers+ display and that times out after a short while.
-
The Sony was the standard fit on my build. Great sound, huge bass no distortion. I'll stick with the fitted speakers. Enjoy!
-
I'm really happy with my car and the add-on's. Convers+ is marginal IMO, but then I don't know what the 'standard' dash looks like. It would appear that the new price list has a lot of previous 'options' as standard. That said, I'd not change a thing. Even the new 2.2 170 horse doesn't do it for me, if I'd wanted a sports car it wouldn't have 7 seats!
-
Yep, I'm back to normal now as well. So, what was the solution?...

Thanks for looking lotusdmc. So are you saying that your fog light lens are as clear as the headlight lens? Sorry to labour it..
-
I have these as an option, they operate from a button on the drivers door. But can they be linked to operate when the doors are opened/closed via the remote key?? (My son has a Fiesta ST and his operate remotely when doors are locked/unlocked).
-
Looks like the pasenger side fog light lens is slightly frosted compared to the drivers side - is everyones the same?
