  1. When you get your money, make sure you save it to pay the banking charges the Banks are going to levy to get this lot back. You will soon be paying for having an account and each & every debit etc - just like the good old days - You can't rob a bank and expect to get a way with it you know!! (unless you're a bank of course)
  2. Hi W Yes I have heard you should run it all year round, and I can confirm it does help a lot as you put it as a "dehumidifier". But I don't know where you get this about the compresser will not run below 10c ! as far as I know the only reason the compresser won't run is that there is no gas in the system, there is a presure switch , but other than that temp does not come into it. You say you have just had if fixed, and when it kicks in it put a sudden load on the engine ! is there a problem with the compresser? Radiotwo It is correc that there is a sudden load on the engine when the compressor kicks in but the engine management levels that out after a second or two - It's supposed to do that. The Air COn doesn't come on below around 10c because if it did it would be perpetually icing up it may well come on for a while but will soon turn off. Again - it is supposed to do that.
  3. Soory to hear that Neil Life's a real shit sometimes! Still with a little luck they'll catch AIDS and die in pain!! or if that's too drastic break a leg or two!!
  4. Well one out of the last half dozen isn't bad!! :)
  5. Surely some of us qualify as maggots & worms
  6. Bah Humbug! or if you are differently inclined then Bah BumHug!!
  7. I bet the booster heater on the lawnmower works though!!
  8. Well Pete a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!! Good luck and stay in touch. BJ
  9. No the most dangerous drivers are those with Kalashnikovs and the will to use them!! (Bournemouth ain't what it used to be you know!!)
  10. ... but you live near the sea don't you? :P Yes it's true but at the top of an 85 foot cliff - with wellies and waders, and a boat. :P Gonna invite me? :P ..as im heading that way!! :P Not if you have wet feet - Besides I thought you were heading to Lincolnshire not Bournemouth? :P Don't worry - if you have a garden you can start building your own ark now beofre the flood comes - that way you will keep your feet and everything else dry
  11. I think this has been said before but I'll say it again (because I'm annoying like that!) Global Warming is an issue it will cause problems - but only for Man - the planet will survive whatever we do to it - it all will all start over again - it's just that we won't be around to see it. By the way you tell all those people in Linconshire they're not coming round my house when the flood sets in- I've already invited someone so won't have the room!
  12. I was in Prague this week at the Christmas Fair - They certainly know how to celebrate Christmas - there wasn't a public building anywhere nor a pub shop or club that didn't have Christmas tree and decorations - How refreshing!!
  13. Says it all really!! Current!!! A Christmas Story 'Twas the night before Christmas--Old Santa was pissed. He cussed out the elves and threw down his list. Miserable little brats, ungrateful little jerks. I have a good mind to scrap the whole works! I've busted my ass for damn near a year, Instead of "Thanks Santa"--what do I hear? The old lady bitches cause I work late at night. The elves want more money--The reindeer all fight. Rudolph got drunk and goosed all the maids. Donner is pregnant and Vixen has AIDS. And just when I thought that things would get better Those assholes from the IRS sent me a letter, They say I owe taxes--if that ain't damn funny Who the hell ever sent Santa Claus any money? And the kids these days--they all are the pits They want the impossible--Those mean little shits I spent a whole year making wagons and sleds Assembling dolls...Their arms, legs and heads I made a ton of yo yo's--No request for them, They want computers and robots...they think - I'm IBM! Flying through the air...dodging the trees Falling down chimneys and skinning my knees I'm quitting this job there's just no enjoyment I'll sit on my fat ass and draw unemployment. There's no Christmas this year now you know the reason, I found me a blonde. I'm going SOUTH for the season
  14. Go to the front page and then down the bottom on the left is the skin drop down select the other one! then you should see the live chat button
  15. I don't think the MK1 Diesel pumps at those kind of pressures - the PDs do but I think the standard type is only in 110's lb psi. Not that that really helps of course :(
  16. Perhaps this is a case of the damp cabin filter - If it is soaked then it would continually draw in moist air that would leave you with the condensation on the windows. Worth a look.
  17. I think you need to analyse the papers more carefully - the US one doesn't have a test date whereas the UK one does. The UK testing was completed in 1999 - quite a long while ago. The US testing concluded that there may be issues with the type of vehilce (unproven) but that it was more likley a combination of unfamilar drivers and the age and type of the software . Not necessarily that ABS was a bad thing. It looks superficially that it's the old story of " I have ABS I can drive faster with less attention because the system will save me" syndrome that seatbelts first brought about. I like it.
  18. Same here - it's always on
  19. Ok then Which would go faster downhill - a diesel or a petrol? What looks better - petrol or diesel? :) Which one is a better fanny magnet - diesel or petrol? Which tastes better diesel or petrol? How many diesel drivers does it take to change a cam belt on a 2.3L? B) Still think my diesel is best!!!
  20. That' something I can't disagree with... I HATE standing at the pumps filling up. (Probably due to the fact that I was born in a garage, and worked the pumps as a part-time job.) Well I 've heard of a Son of a Gun - but what does that make you?
  21. To be honest I was just being silly - when I said that Diesel is the answer! It all depends on the question - I am on my third diesel and am very happy with it for all the reasons quoted by Tim & others . Me admit a possible mistake!! Never!!!!!!! One other major benefit is that with a diesel I can stay out of garages for longer as I can get 600 miles to the tank. Bet you can't do that in a petrol model! :angry2:
  22. Well your problems are better than mine. I woke up this morning to find my green house had shed 8 sheets of glass in the high winds we had last night (must stop eating beans at night)- So I spent 3 hours trying to get it all out of the grass etc!!
  23. If a tyre lasts 30k then the fact that it cost you an extra
  24. Buy all your cars new then do you? :( :D
  25. Quite what - Quiet perhaps?!!!! :D :( :D
