  1. Let me know the radio model and serial number and I can perhaps sort the code out for you.
  2. Take it back to clean metal, prime with a self-etching high zinc primer, then some high build primer, flat it off and spray it in. It is the only way, nothing else works.
  3. I try to ignore the avitar too, but it always pulls me back......
  4. Oh, and try to ignore VR6Galaxy's sexist avitar.
  5. Have you tried Ford? Parts department may be able to help, in the meantime, welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find it a real festival of conviviality! Feel free to test our ahem, expert knowledge by posting your Galaxy related problems and we will see what we can do....
  6. Yes it will, it is a double DIN hole.
  7. Well my 110 bhp has a red I as in TDi
  8. Is it coming from the engine or the passenger side by the back door....
  9. I am from Northampton, and Ian from Northampton is from Northampton.....
  10. Why would they only affect cold starts?
  11. Take out the glow-plugs and connect them up one at a time to a charged 12v battery, it should glow almost instantly, if not it's broken.
  12. http://www.intapart.com/
  13. and he is entitled to an opinion, like all of us that subscribe to this forum  - who, when where? I do agree that - the issue is whether he uses this information for the customer benefit or not.I've yet to have the oil on my 25k mile Galaxy filled to the correct level by a Ford dealer  And speaking of profit I must do a PayPal Donate here as this forum has saved me money  Well maybe not - my mates could not believe that I forked out >
  14. Drive shaft with both CVs attached. Often cheaper than buying a seperate CV joint, taking old one off the shaft, fitting new one, fitting gaitor etc.
  15. Yes they do, but bushes gone would normally result in wear on the inside edges, as they either allow the wheels to toe-out or cause positive camber which puts more weight on the inside edge.
  16. You have posted this in 3 different sections now. It is not a good thing to post multiple copies as it pisses some people off, and those people may be in a position to help.
  17. sounds like one of the balls has dropped out of the CV joint and jammed it. Just re-read your post. It could be the differential has failed as it is crunching the gears.
  18. No idea if it will fit, but why would you want to fit a petrol engine gearbox to a diesel?
  19. They are a semi-trailing arm design, so should not go out of track as a pair. So I am lost on this one....
  20. 4 litres of SAE 10W/30 Semi-synthetic if you change the filter at the same time. Without a filter 3.75 litres.
  21. Yes, has to be a diesel box, the final drive ratios are different as the diesel engine does not rev as high as a petrol.
  22. There are two versions of the heater, one that can be pre-set and one that can not. Look under your driver's seat. Is there a battery pack? If not then you don't have the pre-settable version, just the "automatic operation" one.
  23. Curious - My 2001 51 Plate does have dual Air Con - complete with Roof vents and the loss of the nearside window opener as the rear Air Con unit fits inthere. You learn something new every day! Don't argue with the Ford trained technician chap.....
  24. Check the hoses connecting the turbo and the EGR valve to the vacuum solenoids, and the solenoids to the source of the vacuum, normally a pre-turbo inlet pipe. When I had the head off my Alhambra they were all rotten.
