My New 18" Wheels & Lowering Springs
jkspoff replied to Deanoecosse's topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
Well spotted ! Yep I flipped it around so its easier to compare ! :o -
Its quite simply the best TV program there is ! Had all of us laughing, it appeals to all ages and both sexes. Brilliant, can't wait for the rest of the series.

Most ISP's nowadays have to run to a certain 'code of conduct', no matter who you get, you will receive broadband, so what if its not the fastest in the world, you still get fast internet browsing which is all that most people do anyway, there is no difference in page load speeds of average browsing speed anyway, this only becomes apparent when downloading large files. Go with the best priced package in your area, your speed will be dependant on the distance to the exchange anyway. Unless you have fibre optic cable in your area, which I don't.

My New 18" Wheels & Lowering Springs
jkspoff replied to Deanoecosse's topic in Customising your Ford Galaxy
Deano, thanks for the info on the springs/wheels, I have booked mine in this Friday (31st) to have -50mm G-Max springs fitted, I already have the 18" RS6 alloys on, so this should finish it off nicely. Do you think I should have the drop links done as well, as they are ok at moment anyway ? MOT being doen at the same time, so they'll probably check them anyway. Looking forward to the better handling on the Gal too ! -
Software Causing Power Steering Problem
jkspoff replied to Johnny B Goode's topic in MKIII Technical section
Another 'happy' Galaxy customer ! Sorry to hear of your problems, I'm on my second Galaxy even after having to sell my first one due to soooo many issues, but 'touch wood' I can safely say its been ok so far. The mk3 does seem to have some serious issues though. -
I had a few problems with the connection initially, then it turned out to be the sostware driver, you need to go into device manager and manually install it under USB devices.

If I had a pound for every time PD oil is mentioned on this forum I wouldn't have to worry too much about the recession !.......even though I started one of the biggest threads on it.....PD oil link !!

Have a head gasket 'sniffer' test, from the exhaust, most garages will do this for free, even call out the AA and they can do a road side test, this will show if its the head gasket or not thats failed.

Its all very scary stuff, lets just hope that interest rates stay the same, so we can still pay the mortgages !

Congratulations, this is something I have always wanted to do, and hope to in the near future, I am envious ! :31: Please fill us in on the costs involved if you don't mind, or even PM me. :16:

I thought the 2.3 petrol was just Ford mainly, not compatible with VAG COM.

Even more wrong hands !

If this topic is openly discussed on how it happened, then the method could end up in the wrong hands.

Buy a warranty and claim..........

Good luck with your new motor, I am sure it will prove reliable, a mate of mine uses his for his own business travelling around the country and has done over 150k miles in 3 years. The only fault he had with it was a broken radio !

Name and shame them please !

Quite simply put, this forum is more mature than most tuning boy racer forums, we are generally made up of professional/semi-professional people with familes, hence the large buses that we all drive on here, so this makes it a lot more sensible........or maybe not ! But you get my drift. This is the best forum by far I have evr come across, and I hope it stays that way for a long time to come.

Rotating Front Seats On Ghia Model
jkspoff replied to jkspoff's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Great, thanks for the excellent info, I'm reassured enough now. I have replaced a Mondeo estate interior before now, fairly straight forward, until I got to the rear seats, they are totally different in the estate than that of the hatchback and saloon, wider base seat and different positioned fasteners on the backs ! Didn't realise until after I'd bought them, it took a lot of butchering to get them to fit, and they never looked right, but I am convinced these now that these won't have any issues. Thanks Mirez. -
My local dealer now do a 'value' service where they do an oil change (using the correct oil !) and filters plus overall servicing items for

Rotating Front Seats On Ghia Model
jkspoff replied to jkspoff's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
OK, thanks, so the seats should be a relatively straight swap, other than losing the rotating function, I wonder how easy it would be to wire up the LCD head rests in the seat backs to an after market DVD player.......Did you have any other problems fitting them, like wiring etc, or seat belts ? Thanks -
Rotating Front Seats On Ghia Model
jkspoff replied to jkspoff's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Thanks for the info, I have seen a set, but not yet decided whether to get them or not, when you mentioned about the seats not sitting right in the space, what modification did you make ? -
I am planning on installing some leather seats for my Galaxy Ghia, the problem is, the seats are leather and have the built in DVD screens, but do these seats without the rotating base fit in the same holes as the conventional Ghia seats, has anyone done this conversion before ? My second query is, can the rotating seats base be transferred onto the fixed seats ? I will not be using the DVD screens, so the multi-media wiring will not be an issue ? Any ideas ? :D
