hi ive got a 2000 w reg vw sharan 1.8 20v turbo that needs a new gearbox and flywheel , ive managed to get a gearbox and a flywheel for it , it just needs fitting , the car is a carat model with 157k on the clock , i was wondering if it was worth me doing the box then selling it for ??? or just leaving the box and selling it with that in the boot what do you think its worth ?? i got the car very cheap

hi ive got a 1997 alhambra and somtimes when i get into it and start it when theres front around it reads anywhere inbetween 17 and 21deg , then changes on driving down to what it was today 2deg , does anyone know where the sensor is so i can change it??? or is there 2 sensors because i get 2 frost lights on when it goes below 0 deg

hi my alhambra has a n/s electric window and when i put it down it goes down fine but when i put it up on the auto one touch press it goes to about 3 inch from the top and then goes back down again , it will only go up if i gradually press the up button and dont use the auto 1 touch :rolleyes:

hi ive already put a link in this section about a gearbox fault but now im unsure, i think it might be the clutch or relese bearings?? , the car drives all ok going into gears including reverse , it only grinds into 1st when i stop at junctions and also when it ticks over its making a slight noise like a rattling noise coming from the front somewhere , but when i press the clutch down it goes away and no noise is heard , can i adjust it anyway. failing that what are they like to do , the clutch???? im trying to sort it before i sell it on

what do you think it will be worth , now ive got it its done 158k and is tested till apri 18th its in good condition , now ive driven it it feels like a clutch issue the clutch doesnt seen to go down far causing it to grind into first on stand still , the car is for sale

apparently its the same gearbox as the 2.3 v5 sharan and that is all that will fit the gearbox code is dtr if that helps tha engine code is ajh

hi ive just been given a w plate sharan 1.8t with 140 k on it , when its cold the gearbox is ok but once warm it makes a terible noise , the person who gave it to me said it would need a gearbox in it , will it be a special or can i get one from a golf/passat , also what do you think it will fetch once fixed its the top of the range carat model??? does anyone have a gearbox for it

ive got an original vw sharan car radio boxed up straight from the vw dealer i dont know if i have the code or not until i try it on my alhambra , there is a card with number in the box so i presume so , any takers i can post it. its like the ford and seat standard mk 1 radios the 2007 model radio

ive tried twice now to tint the rear window of my mk1 alhambra and always end up throwing the tint in the bin , ive done the sides no problems but the rear has a curve both way in it and it ceeps on bubbling ive tried shrinking it with a heat gun and ended up melting it is there anyone near me that can do this for me , i have got the tint already i just need it fitting please?? ^_^
