i have a alambra tdi with the 90bhp engine and it has a black oil feed or breather that comes from the botom of the engine to the top , it bols on with 2 hex bolts , mine had cracked and was leaking quite bad so i bought another but the dam thing is still leaking from the same point , it has an o ring on it but it still leaks has anyone else had the same?? ;)

thanks , i was just going on the passenger rear door for the colours as this is the only panel ive took off upto now , do you know what size rear speakers the galaxy has , i mean the rear rear seat 6 and 7 speakers and how easy is it to change them does the rear panels have to come off???? -
hi ive bought some pioneer speakers for my alhambra and i need to chop the existing speaker wires form the old speakers there is a red and a brown and red wire, i need to know what is positive and what is negative before i start the job , thanks , they should be all the same galaxy / alhambra and sharan mine is a 1997 alhambra

did mine the same last week and touch wood no problems up to now , but i thought it came off easy peasy :(

took it off no probs , quite easy really , while off i pulled the cog end out and it was a bit sticky , i cleaned it with some alloy wheel cleaner (onlything i had) then lubed the shaft up , all ok for now dont know how long for

hi ive a tdi ahu engined alhambra and somtime when i start the car it makes an almighty starter motor squeel as its dis engaging has anyone else had this , and is there a easy fix like greasing it up or cleaning it , thanks :rolleyes:

autodata says to use vw atf fluid in the gearbox ive even rung my mate at a vw garage and he says the do take atf , so ive put that in and it took a litre to fill it to the level plug -

have you changed any of your rubber fuel lines anywhere at all or fitted heaters??? i think the ford and seat have the same ahu vw model tdi engines -
hi i have a seat alhambra its a 1997 ahu tdi engine and ive started running on 50/50 regular diesel and proper made bio diesel at 80ppl and wondered if this is ok to do , im wanting to run 100% on 80ppl bio can this be done with no mods or would i have to get a heated filter or somthing , im desparate to try 100% but id thought id ask on here first before i do so , thanks :D

didnt know i had to change the fluid , how do i drain it , and ill give it a change , thanks -
hi when the alhambra 97 is cold the power steering tends to lock up and i cant turn the wheel , this may be due to worn pulleys on the pas belt as the belt is tight enough , has anyone else had this???

i had simular problems i had a squeeking drive belt and the steering was very notchy i put it down to a very loose drive belt , ive replaced the belt and tightened it up but every now and then it does come loose , i have a worn tentioner on mine it could be the same on yours :lol: -

yes its a mk 1 , so i just turn to the rear to lock the car and do it again to stop the alarm from activating????? , i dont have the remote central locking working as my key has bust so i just lock with the door lock , thanks ill try this in the morn -
motormania recommended me a model 096 which has approx 75ah and 680 amps cold cranking , does anyone have this type of battery in theres and is it ok

i had it plugged into a vag machine and it came up with a hazzard short on the alarm but ive not got a clue where the alarm control box is for the hazzard side of it ,,, the hazzard warning lights work fine with the manual switch on the steering wheel , id just rather have no alarm at all , is there a plug to pull so there is no alarm , i still want the central locking thou ...
