Nope. I'm with NTL and been having no problems today ( had plenty in the past though). Have you tried calling their support line as they always have a recording on there informing you of local problems.
-
Thanks for the replys. Thought I had my Gal type in the profile but not showing now as it used to. Anyway, I have a mark 2, 2003 TDI with aero blades. Thought they were a bit dear on Ebay. I'm going to try to water the washer fluid down with just clean water to start and see what happens as when I look close at the blades I cant see anything wrong. So fingers crossed its just the fluid.

I'm pretty sure it has bee dicussed before so I apologise in advance. My wipers have recently started smearing instead of wiping on the drivers side. I have tried everything to get rid of the smearing using cleaners, vinegar with newspaper etc. etc. but nothing seems to help. I was also wondering if screen cleaner could cause this as I keep topping up recently with a half water, half screen clean mixture. If no other ideas turn up I have been looking on Ebay and have seen a set of Bosch wipers for my model at

I had mine changed all round at a local tyre place for -
Loads of previous postings on here about them , whether they do damage, help etc. I must admit that I do have one of the cheap ones fitted and it really does help with extra power. I had it for a year then got worried about what I read on here and uninstalled but missed it so much I re-fitted again. I only paid

Try www.confused.com. i did this for my son last year when he passed. He has a 3 year old, 5 door Fiesta diesel and i got him fully comp (with me also as a named driver) for -
Also a belated welcome. I have had 2 Chevettes in the past, one bright red (like the post office red as mentioned) and a bright blue one. I thought they were great cars at the time as the first one I had (1979) was the first car I ever had with a heated rear window and I thought things coudn't get any better than that. :)

Had my 2 Fortunas fitted today,
-
Thanks for that. I actually got out early and confirmed the size was correct, and the same as yours. I have just ordered the Fortuna's and found a place locally for
-
I feel totally stupid. Just going to order them now at work (because I noticed they dont debit your account until delivery) and I've gone a toatl blank on the exact size needed. I know I have 17" wheels with low profile tyres (was the exec pack on the Gal) but want to make sure on the actual size. I think they are 225\45 94v. does anyone knowif this is standard or could they be a lot of different sizes. I know i should have checked when parking at the station today but forgot. ;)
-
That sounds good. I did call them as well just to make sure that the tyres are reinforced and they assured me they are. I will be ordering them next week when I get paid and they do have them in stock.

MJR, you're right. The sat navs normally take you on either the fastest, shortest or quicket route. You have to do a lot of fine tuning to take you the 'BEST' way. I often follow the sat nav and realise after there was a quicker way but the whole idea of the gadget is to save any map reading at all and in that sense it works great. One day they will invent one thats REALLY clever and then I can get rid of the wife and her map reading. :D

I rang my local Fomula 1 place in Stevenage and he had never heard of Fortunas. So asked what fitting costs would be if I got them and they quoted

I think you just said it all Matt at why sometimes it goes off. I have a Mitac Mio 168 running Tom Tom 5 and never really had any problems (heated screen as well) except for tunnelsa and heavy foliage etc. I've never used the external ariel ever.
-
I would agree with that Matt. They did seem to have better grip but knowing what I know now about the wearing I would not go with them again.
-
The screw did go through the tyre but it was fixable. What was worrying is that I need to change both my front tyres as they are both down to the wear indicators. They have only done 12000 miles and are Dunlops. They were a resonable price when I bought them but will never use again. The tyre guy tells me thaey are nice and quiet but have softer rubber, hence them wearing faster. The continentals that I had previously lasted 20000 miles and still had a bit left when I changed them. So it looks like I will go with the Continental Sport again. Cost a bit more but save in the long run.

Great looking install Bagpuss. Is that front screen above the drivers seat or in front so that you can see clearly. Only reason i ask is won't the boys in blue be upset if they stop you and see the monitor in front of you? I know when I've seen dashboard fitted screens in the states, they cant be turned on when the ignition is on. I've also ordered lots of kit via Ebay and Hong Kong and havn't been stung yet for custom duty. I've heard that they just pick on packages from time to time but I've never ordered any really large items yet. -
Thanks for all the replys people. I have left it in till today as when I checked, its not losing any air. As for the spare, I dont think I've ever looked at it , let alone use it (especially after all the spare wheel problem posts on here with the cable etc). Marky, hoping you are right and it is just a very short screw but daren't pull it until at the tyre place. It could be short as its a large headed screw top, fingers crossed and also hope doesn't mean a new tyre at the end of this.
-
I've just found a bloody great screw stuck in the middle of one of my front tyres. Of cousrse it has to be when most of the tyre places are closed (well, the one I want to use anyway). Kwi Fit are open and want to charge

Definately a no. 3 on the last one.

Got to ask. WHY???

Agreed

Wilber Only just seen your post about the Itrip. Yes it does keep the signal all the time and on long trips as well. In fact I dont think I have ever had to change the frequency at all once I found an 'empty' one (around 88.1). It also only cost me
