Wiper And Aircon
mk2vr6 replied to kelly youlton's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
check the fuses for what? that they have blown? or are just there? the main link to all these faults is the operation of the brakes! so first off, yes check the fuses to see if they have blown? and if they have find out why? my guess is the wiring to the rear hatch, it links the operation of the brakes to the wipers and the indicators by possibly back feeding or allowing for an earth on these circuits, as for the ac? again possible back feed via the rear heated screen? -
the majority of Jap mpv's have curtains fitted as standard for the home market, there's nothing naff about haveing them! considering that the price of hotel rooms are astronimical and most courting couples in Japan still live at home and will do so after they get hitched, where better to get freaky than in your mpv, park up, close the curtains, fold down the rear seats and get naked :) http://www.zenautoworks.ca/Current%20Stock%20Units/DSC_0054DelicaInt.jpg

2000 Ford Galaxy Wont Start With Enough Battery Voltage
mk2vr6 replied to jayjay's topic in Trainee member help
stick a new battery on and stop messing about, it may have 12.8v with no load, but the moment you flick the key it will pull every bit of life from the battery try and get a reading while you start it :o and then tell us what you get? -
Yes they are pressure hoses! they are the EGR systems pressure tranducer sensor hoses, your (the op's) and others talk about Turbo's doesnt help the diagnoses of your problem! <_< my guess is you have a 2lt dohc petrol engine with a blocked ERG valve/system

Coffee. (also, it's good to 'share' sometimes) sorry Higs unless but the answer to your problem is in the TIS and chris can copy the answer or quote you endlessly he's screwed  cant really see the coolant loss being due to the aux heater being unused? it will leak either way! tjhe only real difference is that if your like me you likely to really hammer it on the French motorways so your more liable to really put the coolant system under pressure! has it been pressure tested? has the water pump been changed? have you since had the aux heater re- commisioned?

coilovers on the rear end of a galaxy! now that I would pay money to see  adjustable spring platforms yes but coilovers? that aint happening  http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv50/spike2308/001-2.jpg and these babies dont rub  and you dont grind arch's you roll them, only quick fix you have is to sling to oe wheels back on for your trip then go and buy a decent suspension set up -
sorry long gone

well so far there have been a few suggestions of how to deal with the problem ;) so here's how not to! first off you need no brain cells and access to cutting tools http://whitetrashrepairs.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/329.jpg then cut away the rim while the tyres still inflated and the wieght of the vehicle is still on the wheel your working on http://whitetrashrepairs.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/330.jpg

High Revs 4500 Then Cuts Out
mk2vr6 replied to SteviebROI's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
With the engine at normal operating temperature, raise the engine speed slowly to 2,500 rpm or half the engine manufacturer -
ok lets look at this logically :D the high level brake light works when you put your foot on the brake pedal? ok so from that we can deduce that the brake pedal switch is working? and as the brake lights are not mounted in the tail gate? we can rule out the possibility of broken wires! so that leaves........ nope got me there! no I'm back with it...the pixies that light the candles in the light units have gone on their holidays ;)

Has Anyone Fitted A K N N Filter .......
mk2vr6 replied to cantona1's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
personally cant see the point? yes the filter flows better! but you still have all the oe restictions in the intake system so what really is the improvement? a cone filter? without a cold air intake it sucks in hot air from the bay which is less dense so no improvement but loads of noise!! :D the only real improvement is the long life aspect of the filter the K&N for my mk2 GTI has lasted 11years now! ;) I should really take it out the box and fit it before the warrenty runs out :D -

whose coil overs you looking at? I killed a set of FK's at the 18 month mark! although I liked their rear set up as they came with adjustable mounts!
-
depends on how much crap you insist of carrying? you can pick storage bags/boxes that will hold most crap in place as long as you secure it down firmly enough! there used to be a guy on ebay de that sold clip in storage boxes very similar to ones you get with the picasso or http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4...;emulate=accgen http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/sp-75-3...350-x-300mm.asp just remember though anything solid floating loose after an impact! can cause a lot of damage!

by all means lower it if you wish to? and yes lowering it will affect the height of the tow ball dependant on low you go? as for tyre wear? well I went stupidly low! and never really suffered from it much, did it effect the ride quality? well yes it did, it was a hell of a lot better of a drive on fast smooth roads but on single track country roads you had to take it easy and mind the big pot holes! but as I said I went stupidly low :D slammed into the weeds on coil overs front and rear :D hence the LOW&LOUD VR6 tag I used to go under :D
