I have noticed some probs with V6 in the way it interpretates the CSS side of things :ph34r:

Usually help and about in the top menu strip of the browser unless IE7 then by tools or it is replaced by two little arrows next to tools.

Fast reply is a global setting so should appear on all topics also

some ppl are having strange problems so can you please let me know what browser and version you are using and the error that is occuring as I am not getting these problems. Ensure that you have deleted your cookies and removed all temp files to ensure the error is clean and not cached.

The simple answer, I will put the edit button back on when I feel I am happy it will not be abused by other members.

I shouldn't have to justify what I have done or for what reasons but here goes. The edit button can cause more problems than it resolves, i.e. it has been noted that in the past ppl will say things on the forum get a thread going and then totally change their post and what is being portrayed in it, therefor the topic makes no sense. The other thing is when a member or two gets upset and decides to leave they take all the posts with them leaving the topics totally disjointed or useful information removed. All topics posted done so with consent by yourselves and therefore become the property of the forum to help others, this forum is a great source of information and I for one like to keep it that way. this is not a stab at one individual but we cannot grant permission to a single user in the member group at this time and then others would be annoyed if we had the facility to grant permissions to some but not others. Hi All Just thought I would thank you all for the support over this last year and lets hope next year brings us more and better things. Over the year we have seen a lot of members flit through, also the ones that have been here from day one still around, not to mention the newer members that are welcomed, as usual there has been some ups and downs but together as a group you all pull through. I would like to also thank Maz and Neil for ther sterling work as the new Admins as they more than fills in when I am busy. One thing is for sure the site constantly grows and more attention is needed, not to mention a 5h!t load of server space :lol: So my toast is "thank you all for making this site as good as it is" All the best Glen

Looks like an IE7 problem check Page>Zoom ensure it is at 100%, The CSS on this new version is very flakey but until an update comes out I only have 2 choice, downgrade and loose posts, not backward compatable or leave as is and patch it as soon as I can

There is what I call seasonal abuse of it, one or two ppl get annoyed and delete all manor of their posts or edit them which makes a tpic look complete goble de gook

First downgrade finished pretty painless lets see if I can get the other sites working now :blink:

After upgradeding the MySQL database system to version 5 there has been speradic problems on all the forums, due to this I will be downgrading to an earlier version this may lead to some down time and initial errors, so please be patient, to of the other forums are not working at all :blink: so at least you guys have something to do ;)

Its the newest version of IBF but I did have to re hack the old mods as the are not compatible with this version. The advanced search was shown as a feature in new version but alas its not here, I will continue looking for that mod or hack one up eventually

Today was a total site upgrade so I have to add them back one by one :lol:

Have you seen the new user profiles yet, not sure if i like em I expect 5* ratings always :lol:
