I will have to change the sites around to ensure there is continuity (sp) between all of them, the standard default skin will no longer be the default skin, the good news is those that prefer the default skin it is only one click to get it back. When the site changes simply scroll to the bottom and select IBF Default 2.1 the default for all sites will be silver blue Why am I doing this ??? My job is mainly marketing and I have been speaking to different publications (starting with the ones where I have contact on first name basis and call them the odd other name) about the 5th Birthday of the sites, mainly picasso as that was the first, but since it chops and changes from site to site and the default set looks the same it is no different from any other forum, comments on amazing content and a good user base were super. I want to call their bluff, all sites the same with no reason not to include us hopefully in the April/May issues. I will let you know of the publications as agreements are made ;)

eh old version, the reason the site is faster and more responsive is I upgraded the server on tuesday, put more memory in it and increased the incoming pipe. I also got rid of some processes that are not needed for the server to allow more resources for PHP then I isolated those resources so the server cannot use them for anything else, I must admit though I throttled the bandwidth per user so everyone gets an equal share and those that try to use up resources can't they just get cut off :(

Is the network card capable of full duplex the router should not come into it most under 2 years old will automatically give you that, Have you done a speed test to ensure that you are getting the speed they say you are, I was on ADSL Max but only downloading at 32kb per second, you dont notice it on standard web browsing but is a major difference on gaming and downloading. Which ISP are you with, some do what is called port throttling which reduces the spead right down, the other thing is the PC capable of running in server mode, when you say he runs a server it is not on his pc and is a seperate pc.

Next job to do lol, as well as add the welcome page, as well as redesign 7 sites for work, as well as design new thermostat control units (although I like the features in my last design), whinge over Just not enough hours in the day

Wasn't good enough had to reboot MY server to get rid of the gremlins, just glad I don't rent a small bit of a hard disk from net serve or the like :rolleyes: would never have the ability I have now :lol:
