  1. mmmm think you better read up on this, http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...amp;#entry82520 this might be of help,
  2. first thing i wouldve done was take it back to the dealer, but hey ho. youve bought a car and then spent more money on it and youve only had it 3 weeks, what sort of warrenty did you get with it?new mot?service? hope you get it sorted and it doesnt cost you much to do it.
  3. iirc if there has been 5 flameouts then it wont work until it has been reset with vag com or similar, ask on here to see if there is anyone near by to you who would be kind enough to reset it for you?
  4. what about through the pollen filter area?
  5. i aint surprised big K,but what has surprised me,if im reading it right is the fact the O.P has been mugged of 410 quid for 1 extra key???????
  6. if its working then dont worry about it  as advised from this forum using the aircon during winter helps keep the system working correctly, seals etc.and helps clear the front screen a bit quicker. also the aircon(cold air)will not work below a certain temperature.
  7. 410 quid holy shit batman, nice to see fords are keeping the prices keen
  8. 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10 No I don't think so ! Radiotwo IT WAS YOUR GLASSES you forgot.
  9. yeah would give a new meaning to flooded engine!!!!
  10. well if it is you wont have any problems with the snow?
  11. laurie have you read up on the long thread about booster heaters? alot of info is within that thread, if the heater is getting hot and you can hear a jet engine noise then i would say its working, but you have said that its smoking. i dont think that if your pump isnt working correctly it will make your booster heater smoke.
  12. well mine was spooling up/down and i traced it to the run on pump not working, once i carried out the repair(in the faqs)everything seemed to sort itself out,but mine doersnt smoke so perhaps you do need to swot up a bit more, would be easy for me to say get a new plug fitted,it might not need 1,but judging by a lot of posts smoking does seem to say you need a new 1.

  14. now take a looksie at this, http://www.flixxy.com/snow-vehicle-concept.htm
  15. yep as mirez says, there is a post iirc by seat kid yonks back explaining about the dry joint syndrome that they can suffer from. i had this on a renault remote.
  16. Hasn't Seatkid got an Alhambra nearing the end of it's days? :P ;) B) Er, perhaps I shouldn't have said that. :P CLASSIC......... :P YEP I THINK YOUR IN TROUBLE.
  17. Just seen the date of the post who knows they still might have it? B)
  18. wacko B) as i said before m8 if you cannot hear the run on pump, lift bonnet locate said item and feel to see if its working,if not then the booster will spool up/down,as it will only heat the portion of coolant within the booster itself(coolant isnt being pumped round)then it will get to temperature and then shut down, the fix with very clear instructions on how to fix your pump can be found in the faqs. have you read the war and peace thread on booster heaters?if not set aside a few hours m8,much info within that thread. from what ive read if a new plug is fitted then you will get lots of smoke until all the old crud has been burnt/cleaned off,i get no smoke from mine and that was a new unit fitted about 3 years back. GM,welome to the forum do you get a GOOD DISCOUNT ?? ;) :P
  19. someone posted a diy of this a few years back im sure they were detailed instructions posted ,iirc apparently the cutouts are all ready marked on the inside of the trim, which has to be taken off.
  20. Or you could look for a Sharan being broken :P or an alhambra :P ;) B)
  21. battery or batteries?sure theres 2 in the remote.
  22. ah ha,thought there was a post telling the specific lead that is required?
  23. do a search on here for vag leads been posted loads of times, will give you an idea of what lead you all require.
  24. dunno why you cant claim,as it is to do with the coolant/heating system of the car? give them a bell but dont tell them you changed the plug yourself last year, you dont want them saying youve caused the problem :P
