  1. so after all of this surely there is a correct way of doing the pads/disks? who is right/wrong?
  2. Come on Gregers keep up ! "Can anyone help. My 1997 Galaxy has failed its MOT on rear fog lights not working. I have tried the bulbs, no luck, the fuses seem ok so I am thinking the relay. Any ideas? Thanks folks" Radiotwo DOH,OK so im a dumdass
  3. iirc there are 3 banks of fuses under the steering wheel?(or that might just be the tdi) have you got to all of them??
  4. as chromedome has suggested also check the bulbs
  5. just had to replace the brushes in mine again today,i know last time i done this the replacement brushes i used ended up being rubbed down just a tad too much, but the amount of crud that came out of the unit once i reopened it was surprising.mined you i did borrow them from a very cheap multi tool i had laying around. this time i got hold of some decent ones and took my time doing the reapir,so once again many thanx to john for the detailed instructions  still managed to loose my skin,so bloody tight to get the pipes off.still all repaired now.
  6. think it might be best to take the scuttle of 1st(under the wipers)its only 3 10 mm bolts then the whole thing just slides out.
  7. darrel
  8. ive sorted your duplicate post, probably due to the forum blowing a fuse?????? i too would try the tyres, have you had them checked?balance tracking etc?

  10. Forum back up... phew was starting to actually talk to the wife!! steady man. do you have remote locking?if so do the locks.lock/unlock? if not have you checked the wiring in the door? or is the key just spinning?iirc there isa kit you can buy to mend this?problem, has been covered before fraid your have to search for it.
  11. Did you not get any info from Glen ? absolutely sod all m8,im a mushroom like everyone else  just because a few of us are mods we have no internal knowledge of the workings of the servers that glen uses etc.
  12. woodley,i would seriously go back get on your hands and knees with a magnifying glass and have another looksie m8, you can get another transponder(iirc cheapest place is ebay?)but it will need reprogramming to your pats system by either fords VERY EXPENSIVE or a decent mobile locksmith which hopefully could be cheaper?
  13. YEAH WHAT THE BLOODY HELL HAPPENED??????
  14. Agreed, but its what Ford specify for 95% of Ford cars inc Diesel, just the odd RS its no good for. They may be wrong but thats what they use. thats because FORD dont have a scooby doo when it comes to the tdi with the pd engine.there probably put treacle in it and say its fine.
  15. i agree m8 costs less then a new engine.
  16. wot can i say, apart from you bloody GEEK ;) ,WELL DONE THAT MAN is there anything left you want to try and change OR HAVE YOU DONE IT ALL? ;) ;) JUST THINK i could quite easily see a business starting up for you mirez.
  17. phone the dealer up(which stamped the book)and inquire about what history they have on the car if so ask them to send you a print out for your records.i did with mine when i bought and found out they had changed the belt on mine.which saved me a fair bit.
  18. ive got an 03 and had the booster working at 10 deg. iir its 5 deg on the mk 1? it will be on here somewhere.seek and you will find.
  19. ebay for the blank, there is someone selling the chip as well on there. timpsons for the blank to be cut. but either the main stealers or a mobile locksmith as the pats chip needs to be coded to the car. unless full version of vag can do it?????
  20. id find you. :)
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU OLD GIT.hope youve had a good 1 m8.did you get spoiled.or just soiled  :31: :31: :16:
