  1. check and then recheck what you have done,or it could be as simple as a blown fuse.
  2. if you really cannot open the door then you will have to remove the door card with it shut,P.I.A but it can be done,as others have done it. do a search on the problem im sure your find something.
  3. hi and welcome,1st check all the wires within the rubber boot of that door, then check all doors, common problem. also look in the faqs in the technical section of the forum for other common problems that you may encounter.
  4. no m8,there not.
  5. well checked the trailer with another persons towbar and all working as it should,so that now points to a problem with my wiring(bugger) mirez heres some more pics. many thanks guys for your help.
  6. i had this problem with them aswell, the 1s they have given you no doubt are for the engine and as you have found not for the aux heater.
  7. mike,i get zilch, black socket wired as info given. i cant see why it will not work,as there have been plenty of people even on here who have fitted there own bars and do not seem to have trouble. any other pointers?
  8. right attempted to wire this in today, but it doesnt seem to be working(theres a surpris :() now i didnt use the trip thingy or the sounder could this be the problem? i followed the info above and spliced into the correct cables, using a meter to identify etc. totally wired up the black plug but only wired up 2 wires in the grey plug,as i only have a trailer tent and will not need all the other wires. but got zilch. losing the will to live now.
  9. guys thats brillient, many thanks. now is this something that i can do myself or is it best left to someone who knows what there doing?
  10. aint got a scooby on what wires are for what, just wondered why i have a rather long black wire and some kind of sounder and what seems to be a relay of some sort. for info the wiring came off of a witter towbar.
  11. welcome to the forum. there is plenty of info on this on the forum. which 1 is the remote key? im assuming you have been given 1 remote and 1 standard key? if both remotes then it sounds like neither have been programed to the central locking. the 1 that doesnt start the car(MAY HAVE THE PATS CHIP MISSING) take a look in the faqs found in the thec section of the forum,on how to reprogram keys to central locking. hth.
  12. hi peeps, have just fitted my towbar(oh what joy)now i need to wire the thing up,and heres the problem  its a twin electric jobby and i have a bunch of etc wires as well. anyone know where there meant to go,and how im am to route the wires. cheers as usual for any pointers.
  13. WHAT YOUVE STILL GOT SOME LEFT?:D :19: enjoy and hope you have a good time,in whatever you did/doing today.:D
  14. well i asked the question on here, and got a mixed bag on replys.so i contacted someone on ebay who sells/fits towbars and he told me the 1 i had would not fit my car.
  15. so do i ,:19: and was told by someone who fits them that my 1 will defo not fir the mk 2 :),so have now bought a mk2 version and awaiting delivery.
  16. well perhaps you shouldve done, then you might not of got the response i gave.
  17. Are you saying gregers that your tdci S-max isn't that economical by comparison to your mk2 tdi? yep,the s max (by the comp thingy)is averaging about 40mpg,where as my mk2 can be way above that., are the central row of seats the same on the Mk3 as the S-max? We normally use a 2,2,2 formation (with the central right seat taken out for ease of access). I only found out the other day how poor the 'fold flat' seats are in the S-max but am assuming that there must be a way for removing the seat /rails somehow. dunno about that as we havnt tried to remove them, the rears fold flat completly.
  18. nice 1st post and you turn out to be a dealer flogging your wears.
  19. funny enough,i really was tempted to wear a suit :)
