ive have been a member of this forum since 2003,and in that time it has like others saved me an absolute fortune. as already stated by others a lot of the members here have a very good knowledge base. the faqs over the years have been added to and it has grown into a exelent point of reference. and may it continue.

well the dash's afaik are the same as on the smax,and the general info ive have seen so far suggest a software update,but as usual i could be wrong.

may be clutching at straws here but it may require a sotware upgrade??

well it was a case of doing something,so a new forum has been set up to cover all ford mpvs,i will still be a member here and help deal with any problems that occur but as a mod i have very limited powers on the actual running of the forum,so my hands are tied,for many months this forum has been having problems.i have on many occassions pm'd glen about them i have even contacted the admin on the piccasso forum for help to see if they can get any kind of response from glen,and have recieved a few pm's from there admin but nothing from ours,maz rejoined got made admin again then disapered. i think this is a very good forum and the essance of it is spot on.unlike a few others.but needs are must,i wonder how many loyal members have left never to come back due to the problems this forum has suffered. regards gregers

mirez cannot for some strange reason get back on here.

i had this with mine when i 1st got it,for some strange reason 1 of the pipes seems to disapere up under the cill area,the smoke iirc came out from the passenger seat belt area.i did post about it years back on here,cant remember what the dealer told me they had done,but it came back to me all working as it should.

well it could be,as you have the new plug it wont hurt you fitting it anyway.while its apart do your best to give it a good clean out,i litraly took mine to bits,PREYED, put it back,had the codes read/and canncelled by chrispy,bloody nice chap.:lol:and everything worked.

just take it back and say it wasnt needed after all,lets face it the really only way of knowing is to take the thing apart,:wacko:

there isnt a manuel for the mk2,there is a disk that can be bought from a well known aution website,'tis' a good thing to have. do a search on here for more info.

i have a spare unit fitted with a brand new plug,older style plug.make me a decent offer,as far as i know it works???? pick up if your local

mmm well under the sale of goods act(iirc 28 day ruling)do check this on the internet,they must rectify all faults that you find so if its still within this time phone them and explain the problems you have found time is the essance here,and check there isnt any others,under the warrenty then any other faults if covered by the warrenty will/should be covered(check the small print on whats covered ?). when i done mine,i found that the tensioner was cheaper from vw, if you have a noise like mice then maybe the alternator pully needs replacing aswell,the alternator pully was cheaper from gsf then vw.but you will also need the pully tool to do this yourself,if you were nearer you couldve borrowed mine.

engine mount/stabilizer bar?

I've recently purchased my mk2 (55reg) how long ago? from where,private or dealer? is it under warrenty?

do a search on the forum,ON MAFS. then decide if you agree.

have you taken a look at the maf?

well ive just had a look and as it states piccys are on page 6 of that wee small thread :lol:,checked and i can see them. maybe try looking at it from a different browser?????:blink: as there are still problems with this forum lurking within the depths.

i agree seatkid,you seen anbody around who can do it?????? coz us mere normal mods cant.

hi there seems to be a problem with email notifications and change of email etc, mirez for 1 doesnt seem to be able to get back onto the forum. can you sort it plz,or we as a forum are going to be losing members. cheers greg

hi alaex do a search on this subject,if you decide to take it to the stealers BE PREPARED for them to take ur pants down,it aint cheap.

maybe try using if you can?different switches. use the one you know works then work your way round the car.

holy s... thats some kind of cottage industry you have there fella,hats off to you,;):lol: so after building all of that,and the cost etc,how much has it saved you in fuel duty,and are you required to tell powers that be,so they can have there 6 pieces of silver?.
