timpsons will cut the key for about 7 quid, you can then(reprogram the remote)yourself for unlocking and locking but as said above the pats programing will cost you at the dealers. seems like youve got it sussed about buying a remote key with chip(20 quid) from fleabay thats wot i done and a blank only cost me a tenner, just waiting to get mine done at some point. -

had this a couple of months ago at the local sainsburys, there must have been about 30 cars with alarms all going off and a couple of cars stuck on the petrol forecourt,i had a woman come up to me all in a p155 and a panic coz her car didnt have a door lock and only operated by remote, the cars alarm was going a good en and she couldnt turn it off, dont know wot was jamming all the signals but it even stopped a top of the range Lexus aswell. -
can i just add to this, the reason why my sig keeps changing is'SOME BRIGHT SPARK KEEPS P155ING ABOUT WITH IT' :o and it aint me. but i do think its rather amusing so it dont bother me wot anyone puts(within reason)  but unlike some peeps here you will not find me throwing my rattle out the pram. ITS ONLY A BIT OF FUN. i hope. ;)

iirc if you do a search in the faqs in tech section there will be a fix for you.

lovely mota but do Alhambra's warrant a higher price then any other variations?i paid 9200 for my gal same year as the seat your going for and i assume its generally the same sort of spec as yours? but the ally has a lot less miles then mine had when i bought it(57000)so maybe the mileage is counted in the price, have you done a price search at parkers guide?

i think the reason why governments in general keep shafting us motorists is because of the same old chestnut to do with green issues, they know dam well we will never give our cars up(and they bloody know it)so they keep bringing in these sort of things so it will come down to the individual to give there vehicle up(through totting up),so there going to force us through these new laws and get huge amounts of dosh in the process, but they keep forgetting that most of the voters are car drivers and its about time they realized that if they keep pissing us off then we will act accordingly. wonder how long it will take them to tax everyone who will end up using public transport  because theyve made owning and running a car an expensive exercise, coz lets face it us motorists give something in the reason of 7billion pounds a year in taxation, theyve got to get it from somewhere!!!!!

depends on how much your going to save?compared to one with a service book, have the vendors kept any receipts for servicing or m.o.t.s etc, when i bought mine it has some history with it,but ive also got a years warranty so do have some peace of mind, but is a service book the be all and end all? lets face it theres so many peeps on here that do there own servicing that there all going to be in this situation when the time comes to sell there cars does that mean that (we)collectively shouldnt touch em with a barge pole? p.s haggle with them
